This is an experimental impromptu live set recorded on traktor; a fusion of psychedelic trance (dark prog specifically) and indian classical music (mostly work by A.R. Rahman). The message is to break all preset notions about psytrance and the freedom to mix with it. Anything is possible and everything is beautiful in its own way provided we open ourselves to see the beauty and possibilities in it. Indian classical music is extremely psychedelic and the mathematical structure on the tracks sync with the psytrance structure like glove in hand!! I had amazing fun making this mix. Hope you feel the same. Open your mind and listen to the scapes of ghazal trance.

Ghazal-E-Trance - Bollywood psytrance fusion Dj Set by DJ Apsyd

Apsyd is the artwork of Siddarth Puthcode Sivaraman, a multi-molecular being raised listening to the sounds of Vedic hymns and mantras. 

He graduated in DJing at the ILM Academy (now known as the Music’SCool) in 2010 under the guidance of legendary DJ Sean Dsouza from Bangalore. Starting his DJ career at the age of 17 as a resident DJ at renowned venues in Bangalore playing Hip-Hop, Bollywood, Minimal, House and Retro Rock, he then moved on to dedicating his ears to psytrance after his expeditions in Goa during the 2012 season. He then spent two years in Kuwait where he seriously pursued the study of the psyience in different states of consciousness. He then travelled back home for his first festival called Atmik Ritual, Kodaikanal which opened his mind to a higher purpose with grounded realities. Ever since, parallel to his full time jobs as a corporate Ninja, he has been transmitting psychedelic frequencies for the humble purpose of love and joy, mostly for friends, family and cats.
