Jo Beet Gai So Baat Gai is a famous poem by Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan. It talks about taking adversities in your stride and continuing your journey unfazed.

Probably the most recited poem in Hindi, Krishna Chetavani (warning) is part of the third chapter of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's Rashmirathi. 

Krishna goes to the Kauravas with a proposal for compromise 'If you cant give anything else, just give five villages for the Pandavas and they will make do with that'. When Kauravas decline the proposal, then Krishna warns them about the devastation their decision is going to cause. 

Beautifully written lines which can be found on Youtube in many voices, by many illustrious names. This is my effort - do listen.

कौरव और पांडव सबको अपनी विधाएं दिखा रहे हैं और तभी कर्ण अर्जुन को चुनौती देता है। दिनकर जी जिस प्रकार इस वृतांत का वर्णन किया है, जिन्हें हम नायक समझते हैं वो अतार्किक और अनैतिक बात कर रहे हैं (कर्ण की जाति पूछ रहे हैं, भीम उसे अपशब्द कहे रहे हैं) और दुर्योधन कह रहा है कि क्षत्रिय धनुष के बल से होता है, कुल और गोत्र से नहीं। द्रोण हिंदी फिल्मों की विलेन से बदतर लगते हैं जब अर्जुन से कहते हैं कि एकलव्य का तो अंगूठा ले लिया, अब इसका क्या करूं? और इन सबके बीच व्यथित कुंती!

When the Kauravas and Pandavas are performing, Karn challenges Arjun who has wowed the audience till then. The elders including Kripacharya question his caste, while Bheem abuses him about his caste. The heroes of Mahabharata, all have the worst dialogues - what they are saying is 'adharm'; the villain (Duryodhan) is making sense when he says a Kshatriya is determined by his bravery, not his birth. Dronacharya sounds like the scheming villain when he tells Arjun that he took care of Eklavya by taking his thumb, but now needs to figure a way out of dealing with Karn. Amidst all this is Kunti, conflicted and concerned, but unable to express anything
