Dog Days

Sidecar Radio is an unstoppable six legged bombastic juggernaut of rock from Portland, Maine, armed with dynamic grooves in both holsters and hook laden melodies strapped across the chest.

The story begins unassumingly in 2002. Christian Hayes is a solo singer/songwriter touring the Northeast college circuit. A mysterious phone call brings Corey Tibbetts in on bass, and soon the two of them find themselves touring relentlessly on the reggae/jam band circuit. However, after a chance encounter at the local radio station leaves them with drummer Jason Stewart, the newly formed trio waste no time in rapidly burning their reggae/acoustic/jam band roots to the ground.

What followed was an extremely volatile and explosive hand grenade of rock, built from all the best parts of  bands like Failure, Helmet, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus, The Police, 311, and Sublime. Piggybacked on a die-hard work ethic, fervent supporters, and a little bit of luck, Sidecar has come all the way from playing jam festivals and house parties in Canada to sharing the big stage with bands like 311, State Radio, and The Sick Puppies.

With their consistently explosive live show, dogged dedication to their continually growing fan base,   strong local radio support, insane work ethic, and three EP’s under their belt with another en route, there honestly is no telling where Sidecar Radio will end up next, but where ever it is you can be sure they will be pleased to see you there.
