Sully has been totally locked in as of late with a steady stream of 12”s landing over the past year, and now with a mix for Bleep he’s showing off what’s up next. Amidst a handful of unreleased and forthcoming cuts from Sully and friends are cymbal hits barking in between gnashing, brawling breakbeats, fearsome bass wobbles, and engine revving purrs. Soulful, melismatic synthpop enters on Kid Lib’s ‘Jungle Days And Nights’, fractured into Tim Reaper’s jungle euphoria, leading to D*Minds & Bladerunner dropping heavy depth charges, Arcane stretching vocal clips in a drilling breakbeat collage, and Objekt’s murky tension on ‘Bad Apples’ with a molten jagged bassline, industrial whirring, and the pitch dial gone wild.

Bio: Jackson Ryland, best known as a Washington DC-based techno music producer, DJ, and label owner, has evolved into a key figure in the DC scene since 2012. Ryland manages his new vinyl techno label, Floorspeed, and contributes to two long-running projects — Superabundance alongside Max D and R ush Plus with JusNowhere.

Under his JR2k alias, he channels a raw and emotional style of tribal and hardgroove,
blending elements of house, techno, and jungle into a potent live PA set of all drum machines and synthesizers. Past 12” releases on Rush Hour, Peach Discs, Future Times, Fixed Rhythms, and Faith Beat have forged a clear context for plenty more of Ryland’s music to come.
