SIDESHOW - NEW MOON -

Tucked away deep in Costa Rica, where the jungle meets the ocean, you will find a little surf town with a HUGE energy, an energy that drives the soul to thrive. Santa Teresa is the town, but most people just call it Paradise.

Moon Tribe Gathering is an event held under every new moon and full moon. It's a place where a group of us get together to share our favorite medicines. Meditation, cacao, kirtan, sound healing and of course dance. I have been lucky enough to be a part of the Moon Tribe for almost 2 years now, bringing my love of music to incredible people who are so open to loose them selfs in dance and just go wild. 

This mix was recorded at our events at Zunya for the new moon in Gemini. It was a hot night but no one held back from getting loose and throwing themselves deep into movement. There was a lot of sweat, cheering, animal sounds and smiles from start to finish. 

I think this is one of my favorite sets I have played for Moon Tribe, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

It's coming into BBQ season in North America, the sun is starting to actually heat up as well as the grills and all you want to think about it being festive with all your homies into the night. This is why this mix exists. 
This is a 3 hour mix I recorded at Banana Beach, Santa Teresa in Costa Rica while the sun was setting over beautiful waves. It's a mix of chilled out beats, hip hop, reggae, funk and some new disco. 3 hours on music for you to kick back and burn one down too!

It's been a while since I put a full length mix out for you all, so I hope this more than makes up for it. This is a lesson in sounds and history, crossing genre barriers and including a bunch of my favourite tracks from the past 12 months.

Todays Lesson Will Be On 'How To Get The Fuck Down'. My Name Is SIDESHOW, I Will Be Your Teacher.

SIDESHOW is a globetrotting bass connoisseur, originally from Melbourne, Australia now residing in Costa Rica.

Mixing up many different genres, SIDESHOW delivers eclectic sets full of ground rattling bass and infectious amounts of energy. It’s not unusual to hear world bass, trap, halftime, grime, rap, g-house and deep house blended into a late night dance floor fuelling set, or a sunset beach set of hiphop, funk, soul, RnB and jazz. What ever makes people vibe.

Since 2010 SIDESHOW has captured audiences across America, Canada, South and Central America, Mexico and of course his motherland Australia. In that time he has graced the stages of many festivals including Shambhala and Bamboo and joined many talented peers such as Thriftworks, Mat The Alien, AC Slater and Vilify to name a few. 

Currently SIDESHOW hosts many events in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, bringing energy and bass to the beaches, bars and clubs. When he is not busy with music you can find him in his hair studio The Bodega, styling tourists and Costa Rican locals that have found their way to paradise.
