The prominent Swedish duo of Elfenberg returns to the label after featuring with the wicked “Kebabsyra”on Rotten Citizens Compilation Vol.4. They've recently released music on labels such as Les Yeux Orange, Feines Tier and Hard Fist. The return to Rotten City will see the light of the long awaited  “Elfenboogie EP”, containing three powerful peak time tracks with all the flavors they like: Acid, Disco and Tribal vibes. 

“Vasta La Hista” is a clear example of a club bomb. Direct, raw, and psychedelic. 100% effective but non generic! 

“Acid Cocoon’” dig into the darker vibes with a spooky and sexy female voice in a “Post-Electroclash” exercise.

With “Elfenboogie” they show us again their favorite elements; Percussion, drive, a soulful vocal and some random weirdness to top it off. "Let's do the Elfenboogie", "Come n Elfenboogie with us”, they always joked around with the term, that now is the title track on this very EP.

The release is complemented with a remix from Julian Sanza & Alvaro Cabana Remix. Both DJs residents at Kaputt Club (Bogotá) joining forces again to turn the Classic Disco vibe of “Elfenboogie” into a trippy and cosmic interpretation.

We must be the spearhead of our own movements, and @MEANT is doing that with the forthcoming release of GET CLOSER EP, which has been penned and performed by founder and curator @REMAIN as one half of the duo with @daWad aka We Are Le Turfu.

This EP features two original tracks from the dance floor-ready pair, as well as a remix from French electronic music legend @dj-oil (R&S, Multi Culti), and is the follow-up to their debut ‘We Are Le Turfu’ EP released on LUMIERE NOIRE in Oct 2024.

With decades of experience under their belts, this second studio effort flawlessly embodies their signature sound & carefully crafted production with this particular raw intensity driven by unpredictable hooks, perfectly matching the avant-garde sound MEANT is renowned for in it's 15 year label history.

REMAIN, on top of being MEANT RECORDS’ founder and curator, is a well-known Rex Club resident, and has a plethora of releases on labels including Throne of Blood, Darkroom Dubs, and Death On Wax.

daWad was born with music in his blood (pianist mother and his grandfather an organist and harmonizer) and previously co-managed the IRM label which released Traumer’s first records. With releases on KNTRL, La Dame Noir Records, Beachcoma and more, this new release marks his debut on MEANT.
