This is a recording of Sidi reciting the Wadhifa, a famous litany written by 'Abd as-Salam ibn Mashish and passed down through the Shadhiliyya line for study, contemplation, and recitation.

صبري مدلل || يا من يرى ولا يُرى

إِلَهي لا تُعَذِّبني ... فَإِنّي مُقِرٌّ بِالَّذي قَد كانَ مِنّي
وَما لي حيلَةٌ إِلا رَجائي ... وَعَفوُكَ إِن عَفَوتَ وَحُسنُ ظَنّي
فَكَم مِن زِلَّةٍ لي في البَرايا ... وَأَنتَ عَلَيَّ ذو فَضلٍ وَمَنِّ
إِذا فَكَّرتُ في نَدَمي عَلَيها ... عَضَضتُ أَنامِلي وَقَرَعتُ سِنّي
يَظُنُّ الناسُ بي خَيراً وَإِنّي ... لَشَرُّ الناس إِن لَم تَعفُ عَنّي
أُجَنُّ بِزَهرَةِ الدُنيا جُنوناً ... وَأُفني العُمرَ فيها بِالتَمَنّي
وَبَينَ يَدَيَّ مُحتَبَسٌ طَويلٌ ... كَأَنّي قَد دُعيتُ لَهُ كَأَنّي
وَلَو أَنّي صَدَقتُ الزُهدَ فيها ... قَلَبتُ لاهلِها ظَهرَ المِجَنِّ

إلهي لا تعذبني - أبو العتاهية

The high heavens exalt Your Name,
from which all names take their grace.
Timeless glories mark out Your reign,
from Your lofty dwelling place.

Understanding, bounteous One,
eternal gift of plenty;
omniscient, just and divine,
our Judge in all Your glory.

سبحت باسمك المجيد السماء
وتسامت باسمك الأسماء

يا عظيماً يا حليماً وفرداً
من عطاياك دامت الآلاء

You give breeze to the wheeling birds
Sustained high up in the sky,
as You nurture us here on earth.
In Your warmth we glorify.

You sent messengers to us, Lord,
Revealing Your word and light.
You taught the scale above the sword,
Your justice is all men’s right.

عندها نرتجي من الله عفواً
حين يأتي محمد واللواء
فاجعل المصطفى شفيعاً وكن لي
غافراً ذاك مطلبي والرجاء

We seek the mercy of God.
I beg, Prophet, speak for me!
Led by Mohammed’s great banner,
Your forgiveness is my plea.

Sidi Sa'id Muhammad al-Jamal ar-Rifa'i ash-Shadhili is a Sufi Master and qadi (judge) who taught in the US and in Jerusalem for many years, from the late 1990s until his passing, rahimahullah 'ilayh. He taught the true religion of all of humanity - a religion based in Allah's Unity, Peace, Love, Mercy, Justice, and Freedom, which is Islam. May Allah protect his secret always and give him proximity to Allah's  Beautiful Face for eternity. Amin.

Most of the tracks in this library were collected by a single individual from 2001-2015. Some tracks were donated by other individuals, alhamdulillah. 

Out of adab the local communities of Sidi's students where these teachings took place were asked for their permission before posting to this library.
