Combining the emotional depth of synth-pop with warm, melodic, dreamy vocals, Siente drop their gorgeous new single Doubts on Humble Angel Dance. 

A chance meeting over the decks at a friend’s house party saw lifelong musicians Nick and Steve bond over their shared love of the evocative chords and deep basslines of 80’s post-Disco artists like Evelyn King and Luther Vandross. Recognising their connection, they immediately jumped in the studio to collaborate on debut-single ‘Wonderful’; a sun-soaked disco treat which saw heavy summer blog rotation and drew comparisons with everyone from Todd Terje to French House gods Daft Punk.

Doubts is a wonderfully evocative record that sits somewhere between dreamy synth pop and deep house: a summer anthem for barbecues, beers and good times in 2019.

Whilst Siente’s music has naturally drawn comparisons to the sounds of Parisian beatmakers like Alan Braxe, Phoenix and DJ Falcon, their deep basslines and club polish have ensured the UK scene has taken notice. Siente have without a doubt found their groove and are ready to make their mark with a string of further releases planned throughout 2019.

Fresh off the summer sounds of ‘Doubts’, UK House duo Siente return on Humble Angel Dance with ‘I Know Better’, an unabashed party starter featuring the vocal talents of Berlin-based singer Aaron Pfeiffer, one half of the RnB duo FHAT. 

Combining an infectious hook with an energetic synth lead, ‘I Know Better’ is Disco with a modern spin – sure to move feet from the clubs of Berlin to NYC. Gaining support from artists like Oliver Heldens, DJ Fabich, Just Kiddin and Blonde, 2019 has been a big year for Siente as they cement their place in the UK club scene. Aaron Pfeiffer, meanwhile, has turned heads with collaborations with both Noah Slee (‘Do That’) and Fabich (‘Naked Lines’), the latter gaining nearly 2 million streams and counting. With a combination of talents like this, you should ‘know better’ than to sleep on this one…

When not honing their sound in the studio, Siente are prolific DJs, intelligently curating eclectic sets which are designed for those ‘hands in the air’ moments. Their skills have seen them invited to play to thousands across Europe, sharing stages with acts such as Jamie Jones, Blonde, TCTS, Jay Pryor, Maxxi Soundsystem and Horse Meat Disco. They are regulars on the London scene and can often be found hosting sold-out nights alongside party starters The London Disco Society and friends.

We first came across Cess on his excellent remix of Fabich and Jafunk's track 'Talk to Me'. Like his originals, it boldly combines elements of piano house with jazzy modulated synths, creating something you can't help but move your feet to. 

Cess's guest mix encapsulates all that's great about his music - combining brash, swagger-filled disco with cheeky spins on pop classics - it's unashamedly funky and in-your-face. Listen out for his new take on Amerie's seminal '1 Thing' and a host of edits and originals which showcase his unique style.

After collaborating with Danglo for Armada Deep’s ‘Feel So Alive’, Siente lend a remix to 'Running Wild'. They transform the original with a 90s french house bassline, infectious percussive synth stabs and choppy vocal hooks. This thumping house track is catchy beyond belief - a perfect addition to a Friday night out, a workout at the gym or even a poolside terrace party in the sun.

UK duo Siente are back with their first single of 2020, the slick, infectious On Guard featuring vocals from US singer Nic Hanson. 

Over the last few years, Siente have delivered a steady stream of crossover dance cuts, most notably 2019 singles Doubts and I Know Better which have clocked up millions of streams between them. 

Latest single On Guard feat. Nic Hanson draws on their love of emotional, evocative pop music, which when combined with their dance music influences results in a pop-house hybrid with soaring melodies and a yearning vocal from Hanson. 

Brought together by their love of the synth-driven, emotion-heavy pop of the 1980′s, UK duo Siente combine deep basslines with tropical vibes, creating a unique sound that’s as ready for the poolside as it is for the dancefloor.

Nic Hanson is a singer, producer, linguist and multi-instrumentalist from Philadelphia, PA. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of fiercely unique characters including Stevie Wonder, Benjamin Franklin and Anthony Bourdain, he writes songs that blend soul, funk and hip-hop.
