"Surco" is the first release by F5 for HiedraH Club de Baile. It conveys a strong sense of rhythm, accentuating the force of the drums heard on the streets on every corner of Montevideo, Uruguay's capital.

"Basket" introduces the Piano (low drum), Repique (lead drum), and Chico (clock drum) in a clear sequence, and then bursts into a pop-kuduro synth track on a constant dialogue with said drums.

UK-Colombian producer Florentino releases his second EP for Mixpak, Ilimitado, with 5 dancefloor-ready tracks uniting UK Club music with latin pop and reggaeton. 

Following previous vocal collaborations with @Ms-Niiina and @Badgyalsc on his EP Fragmentos, Ilimitado shows Florentino broadening his scope to link with exciting latinx underground voices from across the world. Brazilian baile funk star @Mcbinladenofficial meets Brazilian born/Barcelona based MC Buzzz on grime-meets-baile anthem “Na Fuga”. Spanish heartthrob @Kaydy_cain drives the emotional “Tu Mirada,” rising reggaetonera @albany-music croons on “Dime Que Tu Quieres,” while “Catastrofe” brings a cumbia shuffle with longing vocals from Honduras-born, Montreal based @isabellalovestory. The EP’s sole instrumental offering, “Latigo” is a characteristically Florentino flavored club banger that unites reggaeton with a 2019 UK Funky flex. 

In the last year Florentino has performed internationally, and collaborated with a broad range of vocalists through his exploration of the Latin diaspora. Those experiences and travels have created a deep, melodic and ebullient collection of songs. There’s explorations of toxic love, heartbreak and melodrama on Ilimitado, all while reminding you you can dance your troubles away. It’s a dance floor telenovela that solidifies Florentino’s reputation as el más romántico de los románticos.

Latigo

Oppressed, submerged, but packed with tremendous energy — that is how Out of Fashion Boys feels about Beijing as a city, as well as the way it defines itself as a label. As the political and cultural center of China, Beijing radiates such a unique charm that one simply cannot find another Chinese city similar to it. Though Beijing is not the most economically developed city in China, all the cultures that it cultivates will never be completely consumed by market economy. It is able to protect or even hinder a culture from commercialization until its next big explosion. Take the Beijing rock’n’roll scene as an example — it is hard to believe that there is almost a 3-decade gap between its two major explosions. Out of Fashion Boys managed to gather a diverse group of musicians into one record, with assistance of the unique energy of Beijing City. 12 groups of artists the label has previously invited to perform live have come together this time to work on the compilation Out of Fashion Boys Vol.1.

In this compilation, you will hear the creation by producer Zean, who is currently based in Shanghai. As a Chinese himself, he contributed to this compilation the most clever sonic take on the atmosphere of the Chinese capital. 
You will hear Berlin producer Goro, who sampled China Airlines’ public announcement in his track.
Paris-based producer King doudou set fire to the compilation with lush club beats that are spiced up with oriental flavors. 
Wrack from Tokyo titled his own track as Hot Pot.
