it's been a hell of a year, friends.  here's to this past year, and to the next one.

this song is a prelude to some exciting things happening around here!  as you may have noticed, i've pulled a lot of material from both my main account and my alt.  it'll be reuploaded to alts in time, but i wanted to reduce how much unserious material i had on my main and make my first alt a place for my more accessible (read: less harsh) stuff that doesn't make the "full commercial release" cut.  

the last several years i've been operating at well under my true capacity, because circumstances have kept me from the real scope of my potential.  but there have been big changes, and i know with them good things are coming.  "all shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."

this track in particular is just a little setting of my favorite holiday song, "auld lang syne."  i love endings and beginnings, i love reflection and intentions, so it's no shock new year's means so much to me.  hopefully some of that comes through in this new take on a classic tune.

oh, you thought all this stuff was going to be heartfelt and pretty?

this is the first in a string of new year's celebration uploads.  there's a lot i'm going to do this year, but right now i'm putting up old stuff here and over on 3.  consider it a bout of cleaning out old projects, putting things that have only ever shown up in sets as IDs out somewhere, restoring stuff i've taken off my main, that kind of stuff.

"every zedd song is the same" is less of a dunk than it probably sounds like i'm going for.  it's a good song he's made.  i should probably work on my hair clipper style bass sounds.

this is technically a remix of the song "rude" by magic.  can you believe that?  you probably just thought it was the instrumental from some other zedd song.
