Berlin's Gooey share a new EP by Siggatunez as part of their Gooey Editz series. 'My Point' evinces the urgency and speediness of the modern dance shapeshifter, with the title track whirling both pianos and acid grunts around a spoken prosopopoeia of the modern dance form's ideal of immediacy, of quick-footedness: "this is my point: we are at a time that we have to make a decision." The exaltation of decision-making has been present in dance music since at least UR's 'Transition', and we hear echoes of the track here, only for the urgency to be dashed by a bonnier sense of breeziness with 'Been Lovin' You'. The B-side offers weirder treats, though neither 'Feelings' nor 'Sometimes' let up on that stated preference for immediacy, the tension on the B1 especially commanding an especially threadheld sense of anticipation.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Siggatunez crafts warm, groove-driven house music with deep roots in soul, funk, and golden-era hip-hop. Originally from Görlitz, Germany, his early influences included icons like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, as well as Wu-Tang Clan and Nas-shaping a unique blend of sample-heavy textures and rhythmic finesse.

He began DJing in Frankfurt in 2008 and moved to Berlin in 2012, launching the vinyl-focused label Tieffrequent soon after. The label showcases a deep, analog-rich house with a raw aesthetic. In 2020, he introduced Gooey Editz, a playful rework series, and later expanded into original productions via Gooey Traxx

Siggatunez performs with a fully analog live setup-MPC1000, SP404mk2, DSI Tetra-delivering hardware-based sets full of soulful basslines and tight rhythms. Releases like Urban Camouflage, Live Cutz EP, and remixes for Rayne and MJB have earned him a loyal following in Europe’s underground scene.

Whether behind the decks or onstage with machines, Siggatunez champions a heartfelt, analog approach to club music-soulful, percussive, and always dancefloor-ready.

Siggatunez is a DJ, producer and live artist from Berlin and founder of the Deephouse label TIEFFREQUENT and the GOOEY Editz Series. Musically he is deeply rooted in the US-Golden Age Hip-Hop era of the 90's but also the MOTOWN Sound and the East- German Funk & Soul Music. Mainly influenced by my younger brother he started producing beats and cuts out of dusty vinyl-records from his father’s collection. 

In 2005 I moved to Frankfurt where he got in contact with electronic music and the local scene. With his friend LE RUBRIQUE he started the regular House Music Event SUCIO at the legendary CAFÉ KOZ at Frankfurt’s GOETHE University . It was a stage for new artist to bring them in contact with the scene but also to create a room for communication with established artists. There he started Djing in 2008 and evolved a passion for vinyl records and the whole record- shop-digger cosmos.

In 2012 he moved to Berlin where he founded TIEFFREQUENT as a platform to get in contact with other artists and the local scene but also to put out his own and friends’ material. To put focus on his musical roots he founded the GOOEY Editz Series in 2020 with the aim to recontextualize and impart the sound and aethetics of that time but also point out that musical and cultural link to House Music. In 2023 GOOEY TRAXX started as a platform for House Music.
