My sister Nicola was a climate change lawyer for the Australian Government. She was inspiring, humble, brave, caring and unintentionally hilarious.

We used to go on holidays together, trekking through the ice fields of Canada, motorcycling in the Blue Mountains, surfing along the South Coast, skiing and racing mountain bikes.

She was an amazing woman, but suffered from a mental illness which she battled with for a number of years.

It's been 6 years since she chose to leave. I keep her answering machine message with me always, so I feel like I can still call her.
