Mix 38 we introduce Berlin DJ @burnout-sumner, who brings some Disco heat to his guest mix!

Burnout Sumner loves it when the groove takes control, that’s what makes each of his sets a surprising one as he notoriously takes genre-hopping detours where oldschool tracks can exist right next to brand new ones as well as underground goodies are officially allowed to hold hands with all-time classic hits. For the Berlin-based music lover, a good DJ set always calls for a few proper pop moments to resonate with the audience. As a curator he’s open to all sorts of genres, as DJ he’s mostly focussing on soulful house music, disco and retro-driven 90s rave vibes, he also shares a deep love for other grooving genres from funk to 80s hi-energy. In the end, it’s all about the fun and life-affirming communal power of a shared dancefloor. Besides these musical endeavours he also runs a mixtape project and sends out a regular mailout with musical recommendations.

Meet Syll from Haarlem, a rising star in the music scene. He’s known for his unique sound that blends nostalgic progressive house with ‘90s influences. After rocking events like Into the Woods and Lagerwal Grooves, Syll also co-organizes a yearly legal anti-squatter rave in a beautiful old villa in Belgium, called Kraak. His sets feel like a trip back to Ibiza in 1995, full of energy and unforgettable beats. Get ready to dance!

Joey Maarse, a 25-year-old DJ from Amsterdam with a passion for electronic music,
tries to create a dynamic mix of progressive house, trance, hard house and
everything in between. With his passion for DJ’ing and producing, he always wants to
share his selection of music with everyone and treat the audience with his own
produced tracks.
One of his biggest releases called ”Can y’all really feel me” has already surpassed
100.000 listeners on Soundcloud and has been supported by very big names in the
scene and there is still more music coming!
This mix is more progressive orientated with his favourite tracks at the moment.

Amsterdam based Young Duif plays a variety of styles. From deep-house and progressive, to chunky breakbeats and lots of percussion. His song selection ranges from 90s and early 00s, to new underground releases. What do all these tunes have in common; funks & grooves. By aiming to combine four on the floor house together with broken-beat gems, every set will express a cohesive story across sonic shapes.

Magis is an Amsterdam-based DJ and producer with a lifelong passion for music. What started as a pastime—DJ’ing with friends—quickly evolved into both a passion and a serious ambition. In his first year as a DJ, he landed performances at events and venues such as Audio Obscura, Paaspop, Happy Feelings, The Loft, Indigo, Boomerang, and YUB.

Beyond performing, Magis is also the driving force behind YUB (Yesterday's Unfinished Business), an event series where he serves as a resident DJ. He has shared the stage with artists like Moody Mehran, Lammer, AUTOFLOWER, Kamma, Masalo, Kinetics, Lisa Korver, Siggy Lou, Boudi, and many more.
