Above & Beyond and long-time collaborator Justine Suissa share their first joint effort in over four years, ‘Almost Home’. 

‘Almost Home’ is Above & Beyond’s first club track of 2021, arriving just in time for their Group Therapy 450 milestone show at The Drumsheds in London this September. ABGT450 is their first headline show in over a year, and will see the trio perform to an audience of more than 10,000 fans. Later in September, Above & Beyond embark on the Anjunafamily Reunion Tour, which visits major cities across the U.S.A. including sold-out stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater and the world-famous Echostage in D.C. 

Jono, Tony, Paavo and Justine have been working together since 2000 when they formed the group OceanLab. In 2008, they released their first and only album ‘Sirens Of The Sea’,a record that has gained near-mythical status among trance fans. More recently, Above & Beyond and Justine have collaborated on club hits like ‘Alright Now’, ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘Another Chance’, and emotive, downtempo records like ‘Little Something’. 

In 2016, Justine joined Above & Beyond during their sell-out ‘Acoustic II’ tour, which stopped at iconic venues including Royal Albert Hall in London and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. 

“This is a track that we originally wrote with Justine some years ago. Like many musicians during lockdown, we buried ourselves in the studio and had plenty of time to pick through old ideas. ‘Almost Home’, with its ’80s production influences, caught our ear. We sent it across to Justine again, and she rewrote the second verse to reflect her feelings on it today - we won’t tell you what it’s about though, we’ll leave that for you to decide. This track started in quite a different form, so we’ve also done a Club Mix to bring it a bit more up-to-date. Above & Beyond's Jono Grant remixes his JODA project, with his 'Stadium Mix' of 'We Find Ourselves'.

2022 was a big year for Jono Grant and Darren Tate, aka JODA. Grant is one-third of Above & Beyond who, throughout a two-decade career, have established themselves as one of the biggest electronic groups in the world. In 2019, Above & Beyond received an offer to score an environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers’. He enlisted classically trained musician, songwriter, producer, hitmaker and close friend Darren Tate, and the duo got stuck into composing together.

It became a dream project all around – not least because it sparked further ideas. JODA was born. Working in Tate’s studio in suburban north London, and A&B’s south London HQ, the pair were in a creative bubble during the early days of the pandemic. And the partnership proved fruitful. Their self-titled album ‘JODA’, celebrating the musical influences that Jono and Darren grew up with, was released on Anjunabeats in August 2022 – to a rapturous reception from the Anjunafamily and beyond.

'We Find Ourselves' was released in April 2022 as the lead single from the JODA project, featuring Jono on vocals. His 'Stadium Mix' was premiered at Above & Beyond’s sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in Los Angeles last October.

There are few artists that embody the DNA of Anjunabeats quite like ilan Bluestone; a passionate performer whose onstage presence is as emotive as his songwriting.

With his heart firmly on his sleeve, 2018 saw the release of ilan’s debut album ’Scars’ (an instant classic for Anjunabeats) and a worldwide album tour. His year culminated in a rousing show-closer at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 300 celebrations in Hong Kong.

2019 begins with another bold statement from ilan Bluestone: six original productions on a new EP entitled, ‘We Are The Universe’.

A mix of vocal-led and instrumental trance cuts, the release reflects ilan’s passion for energetic, innovative dance music.
The first single is a fan favourite from ilan’s New Year club run and recent Above & Beyond shows: ‘Mama Africa’ featuring EL Waves.

Bearing the prestigious ‘tronce’ seal (that's British for ‘trance’) ‘Mama Africa’ delivers an ilan Bluestone-sized hit of driving rhythmic bass, cascading layers of synth and the return of collaborator EL Waves (Elizabeth Osei) for another stunning vocal performance.

Elizabeth explains how the track draws heavily from her cultural roots, “This is a song of love and blessing for my mother, father and loved ones. In Akan culture we recognise the sacrifices that each individual makes when raising children of the next generation, passing down wisdom from old to new. Sending out blessings is something we do to show love and appreciation and to say thank you.”

ilan Bluestone ‘Mama Africa’ featuring EL Waves is set for release on Anjunabeats on the 19th of February with the full EP arriving this spring.

Above & Beyond and Artem Stolyarov are together again on the ALPHA 9 remix of ‘Good For Me’ (feat. Zoë Johnston).

‘Good For Me’ was first released on Above & Beyond’s debut album ‘Tri-State’, which celebrates its fifteenth anniversary in March 2021. Featuring the ethereal voice of long-time collaborator Zoë Johnston, it is one of Above & Beyond’s best-loved anthems. 

Whether he’s ARTY or ALPHA 9, Artem is one of Anjuna’s brightest stars. His ALPHA 9 project went from strength to strength in 2020: highlights include the ‘Stellar EP’, ‘Everywhere I Go’ and ‘All That I Can’. ALPHA 9 contributed three tracks to Anjunabeats Volume 15, Above & Beyond’s marquee release of the year. Artem’s recent 20 Years Of Anjunabeats mix featured some of his best work as ARTY and ALPHA 9 from the last decade, plus selections from Andrew Bayer, Mat Zo, Grum and Jaytech.

Artem previously remixed Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘My Own Hymn’, from the trio’s 2018 studio album ‘Common Ground’. ALPHA 9’s take on ‘Good For Me’ is a faithful update of an evergreen classic.
