Honcho Podcast Series 107: Bored Lord

I can honestly say this has been the most intense year of my life thus far. Between new jobs, new relationships, new friends, new houses, new cities, the return of gigs, and of course, navigating a whole ass pandemic, it’s safe to say this was truly a year of transition and a lot of self reflection/growth. Without my family, friends, and lovers, I would not be the openly gay and proud man that I am today (and so much more).  

To celebrate with you all, I would like to take you on a 3hr journey between some ambient bits, breaks, house, and techno from my recent set at Ficken3000 x Italo Disco Not Only Italo. 

This was such a beautiful way to cap off the insanity that was 2022. On to bigger, thicker ;) , and better things ahead for 2023. Jump in and ride the wave

About the mix: House Music is freedom, family, love & happiness. My intention with this set was to record it in the style of a dj mix cd. I got obsessed with house music when I first moved to nyc and dedicated just about every free moment I had during that time to familiarizing myself with it. I loved the no filler approach the dj mix cds I discovered, specifically the Global Underground series . I wanted to capture the energy of those mixes with this set.
