A very warm welcome to all of you who are tuning into the very first episode of YOKA. 
My name is ADJO, I’m a dj and creative based in Germany. I started my music journey in 2022 by teaching myself how to dj at home during a period where I worked part time. It was pretty clear to me that I didn’t want to stick to a genre and rather experiment with various genres such as afro fusion, house, baile funk, (neo) soul, amapiano and future beats. 

To be honest, I was very unprepared for this set but since I want to convey a feeling through my sets, I chose to do something summer-related. Summer is my favourite time of the year but at least here in Germany it has changed so much in the last years, lots of rain and grey skies, nothing like the good old summers that we had as kids. 
This mix is my interpretation of what summer feels like - listen to it when the sun is out, when you’re on vacation or when you have a day off. Enjoy!
