This audio snippet is of Katha recorded over 50 years ago, just as this year the Gurpurab of Sri Guru Angad Dev Jee's Jothi Joth precedes that of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Jee by one day as is said in the katha. According to the SGPC calendar for this year Sixth Guru's Jothi Joth was on the 19th of March and Sri Guru Angad Dev Jee's on the 16th April - does this make sense? They are not only following each other in the wrong order there is nearly one month difference? Why should we be a part of this deliberate scheme to change our heritage?

Meditating in remembrance on the Lord, all suffering is eradicated.

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਪਰਵੇਸ ॥੧॥ 
The Lord's Lotus Feet are enshrined within my mind. ||1||

ਉਚਰਹੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਖ ਬਾਰੀ ॥ 
Chant the Lord's Name, hundreds of thousands of times, O my dear,

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ 
and drink deeply of the Ambrosial Essence of God. ||1||Pause||

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਰਸ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦਾ ॥ 
Peace, celestial bliss, pleasures and the greatest ecstasy are obtained;

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੨॥ 
chanting and meditating, you shall live in supreme bliss. ||2||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮਦ ਖੋਏ ॥ 
Sexual desire, anger, greed and ego are eradicated;

ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਸਭ ਧੋਏ ॥੩॥ 
in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all sinful mistakes are washed away. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ 
Grant Your Grace, O God, O Merciful to the meek.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀਜੈ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੭੫॥੧੪੪॥
