too(n) jeevan too(n) praan adhaaraa ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈਂ
You are my Life, the very Support of my breath of life.

ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਸਾਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥
tujh hee pekh pekh man saadhaaraa ||1||
ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜ ਫੜਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।
Gazing upon You, beholding You, my mind is soothed and comforted. ||1||

ਤੂੰ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
too(n) saajan too(n) preetam meraa ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਣ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈਂ (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) 
You are my Friend, You are my Beloved.

ਚਿਤਹਿ ਨ ਬਿਸਰਹਿ ਕਾਹੂ ਬੇਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
chiteh na bisareh kaahoo beraa ||1|| rahaau ||
ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਵੇਲੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਹ ਵਿੱਸਰ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
I shall never forget You. ||1||Pause||

ਬੈ ਖਰੀਦੁ ਹਉ ਦਾਸਰੋ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
bai khareedh hau dhaasaro teraa ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਮੁੱਲ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ
I am Your indentured servant; I am Your slave.

ਤੂੰ ਭਾਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੇਰਾ ॥੨॥
too(n) bhaaro ttaakur gunee gaheraa ||2||
ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ।੨।
You are my Great Lord and Master, the treasure of excellence. ||2||

ਕੋਟਿ ਦਾਸ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥
koT dhaas jaa kai dharabaare ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਐਸਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋ੍ਰੜਾਂ ਸੇਵਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ (ਡਿੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ) 
There are millions of servants in Your Court - Your Royal Darbaar.

ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮਖ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਨਾਲੇ ॥੩॥
nimakh nimakh vasai tin(h) naale ||3||
ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
Each and every instant, You dwell with them. ||3||

ਹਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
hau kichh naahee sabh kichh teraa ||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੇਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਂਇਆਂ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਹੈ) ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ
I am nothing; everything is Yours.

ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੧॥
ot pot naanak sa(n)g baseraa ||4||5||11||
ਤਾਣੇ ਪੇਟੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ।੪।੫।੧੧।
Through and through, You abide with Nanak. ||4||5||11||

 ਮੇਰੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪੋਚ ਸੋਚ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ॥
meree sa(n)gat poch soch dhin raatee ||
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੋਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ (ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀਹ ਬਣੇਗਾ?) ਮਾੜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਹਿਣ-ਖਲੋਣ ਹੈ, 
The company I keep is wretched and low, and I am anxious day and night;

ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਮੁ ਕੁਟਿਲਤਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਕੁਭਾਂਤੀ ॥੧॥
meraa karam kuTilataa janam kubhaa(n)tee ||1||
ਖੋਟ ਮੇਰਾ (ਨਿੱਤ-ਕਰਮ) ਹੈ; ਮੇਰਾ ਜਨਮ (ਭੀ) ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੈ ।੧।
my actions are crooked, and I am of lowly birth. ||1||

ਰਾਮ ਗੁਸਈਆ ਜੀਅ ਕੇ ਜੀਵਨਾ ॥
raam gusieeaa jeea ke jeevanaa ||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ! ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਈਂ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ! 
O Lord, Master of the earth, Life of the soul,

ਮੋਹਿ ਨ ਬਿਸਾਰਹੁ ਮੈ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
moh na bisaarahu mai jan teraa ||1|| rahaau ||
ਮੈ­ਨੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਵਿਸਾਰੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
please do not forget me! I am Your humble servant. ||1||Pause||

ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰਹੁ ਬਿਪਤਿ ਜਨ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੁਭਾਈ ॥
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਕੱਟ; ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਲੈ; 
Take away my pains, and bless Your humble servant with Your Sublime Love.

ਚਰਣ ਨ ਛਾਡਉ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਲ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
ਚਾਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸੱਤਿਆ ਭੀ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਵੇ, (ਹੇ ਰਾਮ!) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ ।੨।
I shall not leave Your Feet, even though my body may perish. ||2||

ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਪਰਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਭਾ ॥
ਹੇ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਆਖ—(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, 
Says Ravi Daas, I seek the protection of Your Sanctuary;

ਬੇਗਿ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਜਨ ਕਰਿ ਨ ਬਿਲਾਂਬਾ ॥੩॥੧॥

Waaheguru is Omnipresent

ਹਕ ਪਰਵਰ ਹਕ ਕੇਸ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਨਹਾਰ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਵੀ ਹਨ ।
Guru Kartaa Har Raaye was the nourisher and the anchor for  truth;

ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਹਮ ਦਰਵੇਸ਼ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ ॥੮੭॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਵੀ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਵੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ।
He was royalty as well as a mendicant. (87) 

ਫ਼ੱਯਾਜ਼ੁਦਾਰੈਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
Guru Har Rai is the bewtower for both the worlds,

ਸਰਵਰੇ ਕੌਨੈਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ ॥ ੮੮ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹੈ ।
Guru Kartaa Har Rai is the chief of both this and the next worlds. (88)

ਹਕ ਵਾਸਫ਼ਿ ਅਕਰਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ
ਰੱਬ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
Even the Akaalpurakh is a connoisseur of the boons granted by Guru Har Rai,

ਖ਼ਾਸਾਂ ਹਮਾਂ ਬਰਕਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ ॥ ੮੯ ॥
ਸਾਰੇ ਖਾਸ ਲੋਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹਨ । 
All special persons become successful only because of Guru Har Rai (89)

ਸ਼ਾਹਨ ਸ਼ਹਿ ਹਕ ਨਸਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੱਚ ਦੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ,
The discourses of Guru Har Rai are the royalty of 'truth',

ਫ਼ਰਮਾਂ ਦੇਹਿ ਨੋਹ ਤਬਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ ॥ ੯੦ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਨੌਂ ਆਸਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ।
And, Guru Har Rai is commanding all the nine skies. (90)

ਗਰਦਨ ਜ਼ਨਿ ਸਰਕਸ਼ਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਬਾਗ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰਫਿਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕਲਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ,
Guru Kartaa Har Rai is the one to sever the heads of the rebels and arrogant tyrants (from their bodies),

ਯਾਰਿ ਮੁਤਜ਼ੱਰ ਆਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਰਾਇ ॥ ੯੧ ॥
ਗੁਰੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਯਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ।
On the other hand, He is the friend and support of the helpless and the destitute, (91)
