ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਮੈਂ ਉੱਠ ਖਲੋਤੀ (ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੱਲਾ ਨਾਹ ਫੜ ਸਕੀ) ।
In a dream, I was lifted up; why didn't I grasp the hem of His Robe?

ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਰਾਜਿਤ ਪੇਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਬੰਚਲਾ ॥
su(n)dhar purakh biraajit pekh man ba(n)chalaa ||
 ਮੈਂ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਪੱਲਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨ ਫੜਿਆ? (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਫੜ ਸਕੀ ਕਿ) ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਦਗ-ਦਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਮਨ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੀ) ।
Gazing upon the Beautiful Lord relaxing there, my mind was charmed and fascinated.

ਖੋਜਉ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਤ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
khojau taa ke charan kahahu kat paieeaai ||
 ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ।
I am searching for His Feet - tell me, where can I find Him?

ਹਰਿਹਾਂ ਸੋਈ ਜਤੰਨੁ ਬਤਾਇ ਸਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧੩॥
harihaa(n) soiee jata(n)n batai sakhee pirau paieeaai ||13||
ਦਸੋ, ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਉਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲੇ? ਹੇ ਸਹੇਲੀਏ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਜਤਨ ਦੱਸ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ।੧੩।

Maaeiaa Madh Maathaa Hoshhee Baathaa Milan N Jaaee Bharam Dhharraa ||
माइआ मदि माता होछी बाता मिलणु न जाई भरम धड़ा ॥
Intoxicated with the wine of Maya, the mortal babbles on about trivial affairs; giving in to the illusion, he cannot meet the Lord.

ਉਸੁ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਗਿਆਨ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
The light of spiritual wisdom dawns within.

ਉਸੁ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਨਾਸੁ ॥
That place does not perish.

ਮਨ ਤਨ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਇਕ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
The mind and body are imbued with the Love of the Naam, the Name of the One Lord.

ਸਦਾ ਬਸਹਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥
He dwells forever with the Supreme Lord God.

ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਜਲੁ ਆਇ ਖਟਾਨਾ ॥
As water comes to blend with water,

ਤਿਉ ਜੋਤੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਨਾ ॥
his light blends into the Light.

ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਗਵਨ ਪਾਏ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
Reincarnation is ended, and eternal peace is found.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੮॥੧੧॥
Nanak is forever a sacrifice to God. ||8||11||
