Vivus Artist – VA 5

The Vivus family has grown at a staggering pace in the last few years. We have always believed in quality music that will take the listener on an unforgettable journey and with this goal in mind, we organized memorable events and released unique sounds on both digital & vinyl. After more than five years of growing in the underground music scene in Europe, we have learned a lot, but most importantly we have made some amazing friends along the way.

With this in mind, we want to present to you a really special release. VA 5 is a project very close to our hearts. We have gathered some of the most talented artists and lovely people we know to make a truly impressive compilation of powerful tracks.

We send our love to Andu Simion, Cojoc, Daniel Broesecke, DumitrEscu, Lukea, Lulla, Lumieux, Macarie, Senoo, Tobias Laun, Vern, Vincentiulian, VLF and thank them for being part of this amazing project and for always creating wonderful music.

Continuing its streak of lit releases, Modeight Records now shines a light on an exciting new Romanian talent Raz, based in Manchester. 
Injecting some sick minimal house grooves, infectious energy into 4 original compositions. The young artist captivates the listener with his raw and rollicking flow.
From the mega fun, head bobbing bassline jam and smooth vocals on "Time Chamber", to the slick electronic riffs of "Fun Ensemble". The deep, sub sonic wiggle of "A Sharp Delay", Raz carves out a sophisticated and hella enjoyable sonic journey diving into "Orange Glide".
A breakout release for an artist who's definitely gonna be one to watch in the future.

Domestic Minimal is an original sample pack where everyday household sounds are transformed into textured rhythms.

Inside you’ll find 84 loops at 125 BPM — crafted from forks, switch clicks, cup knocks, table hits, and other domestic artifacts. All loops are carefully warped and grid-aligned — not intended as full rhythmic foundations, but reliable material for sound design with no unwanted surprises in your session.

The loops are perfect for slicing, randomizing, and probability-based triggering — adding a sense of movement, irrationality, and unexpected turns in your grooves. Their raw and detailed character makes them easy to process: apply long-tail reverb, push them into the background, or shape them into atmospheric layers — ideal for dark and hypnotic aesthetics.

Some rhythmic structures were deliberately designed for transformation and masking, giving you more freedom to build original grooves and unique textures in your tracks.

In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Over the last 5 years Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe by doing just that. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. This was recognized early on with labels like Romania’s Tzinah Records, Moscow’s Body Parts and Ukranian imprint Mulen Records offering him a platform through which to release and refine his musical style. In 2014 this culminated in the release of Silat's first full length album, with ten wondrously diverse minimalist cuts seeing a digital release on Mulen. Having achieved this milestone, the talented producer dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft with a renewed determination, going vinyl only and launching his own imprint Modeight Records in 2016.

Fast forward to the present and Silat Beksi has amassed an enviable body of 12” releases on his journey so far. Cementing himself as one of the most inform talents in Europes underground scene with releases on labels like Germany’s almighty Pleasure Zone, Welsh imprint Dreams Are Not Inside, What You Want, Vivus Records and of course his own imprint Modeight. His sound continues to morph and develop, defying classification with it's heady combination of techno’s rhythmic sensibility, breakbeat influence and warm atmospheric textures that hypnotise and excite.
