Vitess is back on his own label Retro Futura with a four track EP of stand out material. The French artist has been producing inspired moments into the electronic, charging emotive pieces fed through his own experience and surroundings.

And there’s plenty of it. Last year, the busy producer served up 10 tracks on his first album, setting a delicate tone spanning between ambient and the dance. This blend of musical introspection and energy led house music makes for a well rounded package that continues into the next.

Continuing its streak of lit releases, Modeight Records now shines a light on an exciting new Romanian talent Raz, based in Manchester. 
Injecting some sick minimal house grooves, infectious energy into 4 original compositions. The young artist captivates the listener with his raw and rollicking flow.
From the mega fun, head bobbing bassline jam and smooth vocals on "Time Chamber", to the slick electronic riffs of "Fun Ensemble". The deep, sub sonic wiggle of "A Sharp Delay", Raz carves out a sophisticated and hella enjoyable sonic journey diving into "Orange Glide".
A breakout release for an artist who's definitely gonna be one to watch in the future.

Over the past decade, Berlin-based producer and DJ , Ben Rau, has risen up the ranks to become one of the undergrounds most prized artists, steadily unveiling hard hitting dance floor cuts for the likes of beloved imprints such as Kaoz Theory, Eastenderz, Fuse and of course his very own Inkal and Meta labels. Here though, he joins forces with the powerhouse Amsterdam part and record label PIV, to launch its new sub-label, entitled PIV Club and as the name would suggest delivering club ready hits carefully crafted for those magic moments.


‘Energy’ follows, an apt title for the near six minute excursion which fuses ethereal textures, twinkling synth melodies and a vocoder vocal uttering the track’s title, while squelchy acid bass and tension building strings further fuel the dynamic groove alongside a robust drum workout.

Capodopere continues to etch its mark with a masterful eight release, this time from the enigmatic Vid, delivering two distinct sonic journeys tailored for devoted genre explorers.

Side A opens with Transpose, a captivating odyssey defined by a groovy dub bassline that anchors the track in a hypnotic rhythm. Layers of intricate percussion ripple through the soundscape, each element carefully placed to lead the listener into a state of fluid motion. Vid’s signature touch unfolds subtly yet confidently, with warm, immersive textures that evoke a sense of endless exploration. In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Over the last 5 years Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe by doing just that. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. This was recognized early on with labels like Romania’s Tzinah Records, Moscow’s Body Parts and Ukranian imprint Mulen Records offering him a platform through which to release and refine his musical style. In 2014 this culminated in the release of Silat's first full length album, with ten wondrously diverse minimalist cuts seeing a digital release on Mulen. Having achieved this milestone, the talented producer dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft with a renewed determination, going vinyl only and launching his own imprint Modeight Records in 2016.

Fast forward to the present and Silat Beksi has amassed an enviable body of 12” releases on his journey so far. Cementing himself as one of the most inform talents in Europes underground scene with releases on labels like Germany’s almighty Pleasure Zone, Welsh imprint Dreams Are Not Inside, What You Want, Vivus Records and of course his own imprint Modeight. His sound continues to morph and develop, defying classification with it's heady combination of techno’s rhythmic sensibility, breakbeat influence and warm atmospheric textures that hypnotise and excite.
