I'm tearing away at this frayed moral fabric that blankets our lives and blankets our eyes, and keep us from seeing what our true selves can attain. Taught to follow our peers, taught to hide our fears - to stifle what can help us grow if we let it out. What if I acted each time I saw the chance, wrote the moment I felt the urge, spoke the second I felt the need? What if? So many empty promises of things to do tomorrow. Apathy breeding apathy. And we're all more than happy to accept. (Don't question.) Why bother to create when it can be created for you? Just sit back: we'll choose what you like, we'll choose what you want. You just accept your music, your movies, your magazines: their lies. They're not yours. You just maintain this mass consumer machine. What we all acted, wrote, spoke? What if? I'll never tread their path. I'll break what's conditioned me to stifle what can help me grow if I let it out.
