After feeling sick most of the festival i have to say i had another magical year, full of happiness in nature were i belong.

Thank you to Subsonic Music for the invite and all the effort, it was EPIC!(i always feel sad leaving).

PS. Thank you all of you that came to hear my set, was great to see familiar faces around, unfortunately i had to re-record the set as the electricity got off for a few minutes, obviously is not the same recording in front of an audience than in front of your cat.

Many people have an NTS show, but few are as closely attached to the London station as much as DEBONAIR. A key part of the team in its initial days, she has not only become a much loved host, but as Programme Director in the station's first year she helped to make the station the vital and vibrant cultural hub that it is. She is an adventurous DJ who rides rough punk basslines, gnarly electro and EBM as well as various party starting house and techno styles. That ability has taken her to headline sets at cult clubs like De School, DC10 and Panorama Bar and now our podcast series.

It's a mix that very much does its own thing and starts off on a high energy tip with plenty of punchy drums and flailing synths making you immediately cut loose. Things only grow more intense from there with as DEBONAIR explores techno and electro from many different angles - angry and coarse, spaced out and deep, thumping and futurist. This is the sound of a DJ in full flow, going with her instincts and very much keeping you on the edge of your seat and guessing at what might come next.

Tanya Akinola aka T-N is an emerging DJ who got her start in London, playing a hybrid blend of frenetic electro and melodic techno on local radio stations from Threads to Rinse FM and venues including Corsica Studios and Five Miles. Outside of DJing, Tanya is a freelance music journalist who has been published on Resident Advisor, Dazed, DJ Mag, Boiler Room, gal-dem and more. She also works with Black Bandcamp and Lobster Distribution. She's currently based in Naarm (Melbourne) and hosts After Hours Mutations on Triple R.

Mary Lake (@marylakeworld) grew up in France, Algeria and The Netherlands, so has also been exposed to a broad mix of music. In recent years she has distilled that into her own often frenetic rhythms, always with a perspective that is left of centre, but never too far out to lose the attention of her dance floors. It was on her NTS show Worshipping Discordia where she first showcased her distinctive collisions of electronica, folk and globally influenced sounds, but since then has become a firm favourite at clubs  all over Europe, Australia and beyond.

Lake's distinctive sense of rhythm is at the heart of this week's mix. The often stripped-back tracks she seamlessly stitches together have drum programming so compelling that little else is needed to keep you locked. Whether riding up and down on a rubbery loop, skating over busy poly rhythms or sinking deep into more linear and minimal cuts, this is pure, seductive body music from someone who exerts expert control at all times.
