After a string of diverse releases Russian producer HEFT arrives on Modern Conveniences for the second release in our MODCONS series. Appreciate The Love’s delicate atmospherics and minimal drum work border on the edge of ambient, transporting the listener to a wistful headspace. 3VS return to the label with an energetic remix reminiscent of Djrum’s more experimental work, while newcomer Phasebash delivers a gorgeous and reflective interpretation of the title track.

We've been away for a little while but none60 returns with a new various artists album - Audience of none.

Believe it or not the album's title was conceived just after "none of the above" was released and way before we even had any tracks ready for it, little did we know at the time that the title would sum up the last 15 months of club life in the UK and most of the world. You may find it even harder to believe that the opening track's name predates the pandemic! The earth has always been evil after all... how could the home of us humans be anything but?

Audience of none is a colder and darker album than its predecessor but each track has just the right balance of synths, beats and atmospherics that make it such a great return for none60. From the dub techno vibes of Arlow's "Bear Dub" , the pulsing synths of "Elevated State" by 3VS to the eight-minute abstract landscape of DYL's closing track "Elder Gods" there is an almost retro futurist theme running through the album.

The multi-talented RQ arrives on none60!

After delivering stunning albums and EPs on BMTM and Modern Conveniences RQ comes with an incredible 3 track single for none60 - feel free to call it an EP if you wish!, it clocks in at around the 25-minute mark in total!

The single opens with "Bunker", the drums and the bass greatly influenced by Modus Operandi era Photek, this is no 2-step roller.... whatever that is? I've heard they're popular.

I've been guilty of using the term journey way too much in these write ups for previous releases but I feel it was justified before and it's without doubt justified for the next two RQ tracks - "Migration" & "Rainforest Utopia". Both tracks are just over 9 minutes long and in the age of instant gratification and Tik-Tok it's refreshing to hear an artist follow their vision and not be forced into compromise - there was never going to be a radio edit of either of these!

RQ also provided the amazing artwork that perfectly matches the release!

Take 25 minutes out of your day and enjoy this incredible music!

Assignment Outer Space starts strong and never slows down. Melodic. Danceable. Amazing.   
Hypnagogia is the transitory state between dreaming and wakefulness and this song encapsulates this perfectly.  Warm pads and guitars bring us back to better days while the beats roll on and on.
Finally Wonders Of The World steps up and knocks us all down with its deep subs and snappy drums.  Bursting at the seams with feelings, this EP is out of this world.  Dan guidance lives up to his namesake and guides us all to a future we never knew we needed.
