TO FEEL HUMAN

Its still early days, but i am planning on this being either track number 1 or 2 of my new upcoming LP (name still yet to be confirmed).

This track started off as a very positive and uplifting melody that i have had for a while. I decided to add it to a beat which i recently came up with (Drum, Bass and Rhythmic synths). It sounded pretty good when i started adding counter melodies. But then i wondered if i could litterally take the track and turn it on its head, and invert the whole mood and sound of it. I kept that same beat going and created probably my nastiest sounding stuff to date lol! So its a track of contrasts, i may play with the structure down the line, so not a final version just yet!

French electronic producer and Larmes label (@larmes) head Clarence Park injects his distinctive dark atmospheric droning touch along a slow-pace of relentless steady punchy thud kicks and rumbling crunchy snare beats, interspersed by screaming, creaking, hissing noises, shrouded in overflowing eerie and foreboding synth flows to build a huge enveloping sense of impending desolation and primitive fear.

"Cinco Segundos is a an EP where each track was composed by manipulating one five-second sample. Vals and Stages were both originally classical guitar pieces I played, with Vals being the first couple measures of a piece called Vals Español composed by José Ferrer and Stages starting as a five second arpeggio loop. Cosas Raras, Huelga, and Hexagonal all originated as quick synth loops I made. In each track, the original samples were duplicated, stretched, and manipulated with different effects added to create the final track. I played, recorded, mixed, etc. everything myself.
Etxera is a project that I started last year as an outlet for my more experimental, electronic, and atmospheric songs. Etxera means "home" in Basque and I really started experimenting with synths and electronic music while I was living in Bilbao, Spain where Basque is the local language. That really started because I only had a flamenco guitar and an iPad while we were living in a tiny apartment there and all my gear was in storage in Portland. I really don't stick to a genre or theme very well, but I would say that the one commonality between all my songs for this project is a focus on atmosphere and creating a mood."
