In Hour 2 we hand over to Yu Su who has released music on Genero, PPU, Wichelrode and her last release 'Peperations For Departure' on Arcane. She had this to say about her mix;
 "Recorded live at my home in Vancouver on a very rare hot summer day, this short mix is meant to showcase some dance music-inspired pieces that really speak to me. I've only been listening to dance music for a few years with a pretty limited knowledge on its history prior; many times I encounter things that I feel disconnected to. But spending the past year working on music that has a pretty blurry defining genre and by having very honest exchanges with some friends who come from that background have opened some new exciting perspectives for me on rhythm-based composition, which is something I used to learn from acoustic melodic percussion and ambient music. I read a book by David Toop not long ago where he talks about psychological, cultural, and musical realms of "ambient music", music that "taps into the disturbing, chaotic undertow of the environment", and funny enough, this has been something I keep in mind whenever I play out. Between giving the dancefloor what they expect and what my responsibility is, which I think is to lead and shift their mood, I think myself, the person providing the soundtrack is a mediator who can luckily tap into the space full of minds floating on different levels by deciding on the frequencies and rhythmic units of every microsecond each individual receives."
