Welcome to Silent Shadow Productions.
an Oklahoma-based music production company founded by Jordan Meers.  
The following contains the story of how/why I began a career in music... 
I have always been extremely passionate about music, but unfortunately, I never quite possessed the time necessary to learn how to play. I grew up playing sports, so all of my spare time was dedicated to the advancing and building of the particular sport I was playing at the time. It was not until I received a career ending injury, that I was faced with more spare time than I knew what to do with. My parents housed an antique grand piano, so I took this opportunity to finally sit down and learn. Picking it up fairly quickly, my love for music only continued to grow. That Christmas, my wonderful mother continued to encourage my obsession, buying me a cheap recording program for our computer. Learning the other side of the musical spectrum, the floodgates had officially been opened. I began further studying the production side of things, as well as picking up the drums, bass and guitar.  
I applied and was accepted into the Academy of Contemporary Music in Oklahoma City. Discovering this new world of possibilities, I was fortunate enough to play in several local bands ranging from Alternative/Indie Rock to Metal. I have had the opportunity to work on Country Western albums, as well as recording local Rap and Hip Hop acts. I have even provided mixes for the local High School Pom Squads.  
Music is a beautifully intimate connection, the most universal language known. For my story, I would have to say that I owe my life to music. Without it, I don't believe that I would still be here. In fact, I know I wouldn't. It has helped me in the best of times, but even more important, in my worst. There is always a point in our human nature, where giving up feels almost logical. Failure seems inevitable. It is in these moments of darkness, something hits you. Something greater than yourself takes over. A feeling of euphoria. For me, that has always been music. Whether it be a particular note, lyric, chord progression, build or break; music provides exactly what is needed in order to carry through. To dust yourself off and push forward when hope was all but lost. Dealing with the blindside of my injury was extremely difficult in the beginning. Now, I see it as the biggest blessing in disguise. Without music, I would never be where I am today. Who I am. Music has saved my life time and time again, and for that, I am forever grateful. This is why I feel so passionately about the pursuit of a life devoted to music. To help provide others with the same hope and dream. The same will. 
A second chance.
