 Silent Side are a 5-piece melodic rock band from Cape Town, South Africa. The band (formerly known as Skyeclad) was formed in 2007 by singer/ lyricist/ composer/ and acoustic guitarist Bonita van Wyk, rhythm guitarist Ray Schoeman (who also took over management of the band in 2010), and lead guitarist Paul Anagnostakis. After changing band members in 2010, Silent Side welcomed bassist Darion Garish and drummer/ backing vocalist Matt Catto to the band. They continued to combine each member’s individual style and influences to create a fusion of sound overlaid by deep and emotional lyrics and memorable melodies.

Since their debut they have been playing at established venues and festivals all around the Western Cape with bands such as Mac Stanley (Flat Stanley), Josie Field, Stealing Love Jones, The Dirty Skirts, Foto na Dans, Ashtray Electric, and Bed on Bricks to name but a few.

Silent Side started recording on their first full length album, "Unbroken" in 2010. The album is now availabe !
