The first single from my album is here!! So excited to put these two out, they have been with me pretty much since I started the record. Wanted to channel all my favourite sounds and vibes into two bright and optimistic tracks.

This is the most complete collection of my music to date. ‘Holonomy’ is an exploration of all of my favourite sounds, genres and ideas in intricate detail. Honoured to be returning to Inspected to celebrate their 50th release.

Presented on 12" heavyweight double-vinyl in electric blue & orange, with a beautiful gatefold sleeve featuring artwork by @Ed Cheverton.

Deep within the earth inside of a burrow that lay beneath a fetid swamp rested a creature tasked with putrescent rebirth, the horrifying beauty that sprouted forth from rot & decay. The milky ochre color of its hide was covered in a thin layer of mucus that, were there light in its subterranean lair, would glisten and shimmer as the creature slithered throughout the earth. The guttural grunts produced by the creature's hulking form echoed forth with a distinctly wet accent, squelching forth from between its mandibles as though mud beneath the tread of a boot. 

Indeed, though mud had the creature begun to burrow, filter-feeding upon the microorganisms and decaying plant matter that seeped through the soil. It had been awakened, for the first time in many centuries, by the hunger that drove it to serve in the divine duty that had been bestowed upon it a millennia ago. As it had slept, that which lived above had languished beneath the sun’s rays and grown decadent, thus ladening itself with the first stage of decay. The sweetest, ripest fruit was, after all, always the one closest to becoming rotten, and so was the fate of all living things in due time. The beast had consumed a wide variety of such rotten beings in its time - trees that had grown too tall, beasts that had grown too fat, fungi that had spread their spores too wide. To the grub’s all-consumptive hunger, the makeup of its meal mattered not. All dissolved equally within its many-chambered digestive system. Thus, as it broke through the surface earth that had lain above it for so long, the visions of steel and pink-fleshed creatures that greeted the creature gave it no hesitation. Through hunger, it had been called, and thus it would consume once more, that life may again be born anew where rot had begun to set in.

MOB TACTICS return to EATBRAIN and present DIRTGRUB // DUBBLE BUBBLE, their latest monstrous single filled with squelching sonics sure to set the myriad members of the EATBRAIN horde squirming on the dancefloor.

Shut in behind shuttered blinds, Katelyn took a drag of her cigarette. She didn’t know why she smoked. Perhaps it was just because the other girls did it. Of course, the other girls were those who had so kindly chased her into this hollow out of fear. She was different, she did their work better, her skin was interrupted by alloyed plates and her body couldn’t feel a single pleasure that wasn’t carnal. With a quick puff, Katelyn cursed herself and her designers, who had so brilliantly forbade her from so much of the world with a few lines of code and subcutaneous circuitry connections. Most food tasted the same, she had no sense of smell, and no drug nor the cigarette she smoked could ever help her escape the life that festered in these neon alleyways as they did for everyone else. No, her cyber pleasures were rooted firmly in a single sense - touch, the medium through which she performed her work.

Katelyn had recently begun to wonder if she’d find pleasure in some of the more perverse applications of that sense. Sexual pleasures had become all but passe to her, but she knew that human brains could easily twist the pathways between joy and terror. She wondered if she’d find pleasure in killing someone. Sometimes, she considered crushing her client’s windpipes. The sinewy synthetic silk that made up her tendons gave her enough strength to do so with only her ring and pinky finger. She imagined the suckering “pop” that might emanate were she to pluck an eyeball from its socket, or the warmth of the blood that might spray forth from an artery severed by the honed edges of her acrylic nails. She was awoken from her daydream by a knock on the door - a client, she supposed. Katelyn took one last long drag of her cigarette and took a single, small delight in the sensation of extinguishing its embered end on the tip of her tongue. Perhaps, she mused as she walked to answer the door, perhaps...

KUTLO makes his EATBRAIN debut with CYBER PLEASURE, an EP that brings a tantalizing array of auditory delights to the eager ears of the Eatbrain horde. With him arrive a host of talents known to loyal label listeners, as he collaborates with Liveon, Notequal, and famed vocalist Fedora for the creation of four tracks that ooze with a KUTLO’s sleek cybernetic style.

In the most literal sense of the phrase, all hell had broken loose upon the city. From a red-hot rift within the earth had crawled frightful and freakish creatures ferried directly from the nightmares of the city’s citizens. Indeed, such was the quality of this sudden summoning that this menagerie of malevolent spirits possessed only a haphazard collective identity, each instead bearing a beguiling countenance conferred onto them by the personal fears of their individual inspirations. Amidst their ranks stood classical horrors, skeletons, and shadows that showed the face of death and despair. Yet also were there boogeymen and boggles and other dwellers-under-the bed, embodying imaginative and fickle forms found in the minds of the children that feared them so. 

Vastly varied too were the actions taken by this fearsome horde, each so uniquely motivated by the personal horror that they did represent. So it was that some skeletons simply lay lifeless upon the asphalt whilst others crawled into the city’s closets. Some simply screamed at the woe-begotten passersby, threatening them not but simply seeking the momentary pleasure of a single spook & scare. For more than a few of these creatures, their existence exalted a forbidden vice, a lurking fear of desires long since locked away. Thus it was that a gangly gargoyle could be found amidst the chaos slyly sipping on an ICE COLD cocktail, indulging in the fears that lurked in the minds of those who had long since left such libations behind.

STATE OF MIND unleashes the full freakish fury of the EATBRAIN horde as he visits his latest single, ICE COLD, upon the ears of the label’s ravenous faithful. Inside, STATE OF MIND presents a suite of oddly tantalizing tones across the single’s twin tracks, combining cool confidence and capricious sound design in a dizzyingly effective concoction for EATBRAIN’s latest release.

Flittering up from beneath the facades of ruined buildings cast in the filtered light of fading day came frolicking a faction of miniature miscreants, hellbent on nothing more or less than calamitous chaos of a kind most ultimately benign. This part of the city, only recently fallen from its former splendor into a relative state of forgotten disrepair, had become their favored haunt and a canvas upon which they painted their mural of mischief. Indeed, though sometimes disturbed by their devious pranks, those humans who still lived within the dilapidated dwellings of the neighborhood looked upon these minute beings with a sense of familiar nostalgia, reminiscent as they were of the deeds of their own childhoods upon the very same city streets.

Thus, there was something of an enchantment to the gremlin’s general goblinry. The high-pitched shrieks of sheer thrill that resulted from the success of their misdeeds, the skitter and scrape of their bicycles, skateboards, and all other manner of experimental wheeled vehicles, and the freshly odorous fumes of the spraypaint that newly adorned many of the neighborhood’s walls. In this place so forgotten by their human brethren, these RASCALS had brought a revitalizing presence to the ruined alleys in which they ran, their ruckus reinvigorating the empty, crumbling streets.

MNDSCP rallies the RASCALS of the EATBRAIN horde with his latest EP, gleefully titled under that name to unify the rowdy and cacophonous sounds within. Across the four-track span of RASCALS, boisterous basslines rebound amidst an atmosphere of silly sonics that brings a rejuvenating levity to the monstrous menagerie of the EATBRAIN horde.

What had once been but a small village had changed, coating itself in the metallic materials of a new age born of the prosperity that was wrought by its forebears, those who had bound demons in stone so many years ago. The elements of fire and brimstone with which such creatures once threatened the village now lay bound themselves, claimed and wielded as tools that had wrought the stairsteps of progress from the ruins of the city’s troubled past. As progress had waxed however, time waned, and few left still remembered the obelisk which lay hidden at the heart of their city, encased within a monument to victory over the realms’ more worldly foes. Within however, those foes of old had slumbered, keeping sharp the memories of their magical imprisonment. Outside, time had passed, and now arrived back to where it had once been. Thus with the waking of the demons is stone, the time of DIVERGENCE did once again begin.

It began subtly, as the influence of the demons seeped out from the ancient obelisk, transforming the visages of the metallic heroes who were their former jailors into subtly more monstrous forms. From the obelisks dark and rotted core seeped a sinister demonic poison, and ichor that worked its way into dark places both familiar and new. With it came the demons, who slithered out of their forgotten prison and found refuge amidst the smoke and flame now welcomed by those who had forbade them long before. As their power and number grew, their essence enveloped the city, immersing it in a sea of acrid darkness that choked living beings and the light of the sun with equal tenacity. Caught within this abyssal miasma, the minds of the city’s inhabitants corroded as their bodies mutated into horrendous forms, a slow, grueling process that spared those affected not a single horror. As day and night ceased to pass within the haze that strangled the city, the demons emerged from their dark places, assuming their de facto rulership over the city which was now carved in their image. Thus it was again that the world of the living was changed, therein by the darkness from which DIVERGENCE came.

EATBRAIN continues their DIVERGENCE compilation series with DIVERGENCE III, bringing together a monstrous roster including a surprise last ever appearance by the legendary FOREIGN BEGGARS produced by KILLBREAK, and label veterans TELEKINESIS, AGRESSOR BUNX, MIZO, THE CLAMPS, DISPHONIA, IHR, L 33, NAIS, COD3X, LIVEON, KUTLO and novel additions DISASZT, SHADOW SECT, SCREAMARTS, CHASER.
