This song is about co-dependency and the way we limit ourselves through the people and connections we choose to foster in our lives. 
The name comes from an aviation term, where a plane is sent to circle an airport indefinitely while it waits for a place to land. I think a lot of us feel that way at some point in our lives. 

If you have ever felt something similar, this song is dedicated to you.

Holding Pattern

This one is very near and dear to my heart -
For me, its a nostalgia trip back to a simpler time in my life. A time where life held a mystery and wonder that defied all explanation, and our only purpose in it was to experience and enjoy.

When we were younger, every Friday night all the boys would get together, pool our money, buy a big block of bud, and spend the weekend smoking and joking together.

Every week, we would find a new person from school who had never smoked before, and invite them along as our "special guest" for the week.

It was our late night talk show. And it was broadcast for our eyes only. This song reminds me of back then - the good times, the bad and every friend I made and lost along the way.
