Lagaffe Tales introduces new BROT series with four electro-tinged cuts from Iceland’s https://soundcloud.com/felixleifur entitled ‘BROT01’.

Reflecting the harsh nature of Iceland’s unforgiving, barren landscape, Lagaffe Tales push alternative styles of modern dance music with their new BROT catalogue. Lagaffe’s main series includes releases from Icelandic talent like Intr0beatz, Ilo and label boss Jónbjörn, with Lagaffe Tales maintaining its reputation for supporting local artists by inviting Felix Leifur to the imprint. Felix has built a solid reputation for himself following releases on Frits Wentink’s Bobby Donny label and Dirt Crew Recordings with ‘BROT01’ being the first in a trilogy of releases coming in 2019.

‘Brot 1’ kicks things off with resounding electro drums, thick low end and glitchy oscillations before ‘Brot 2’ delivers gloomy synth notes and clattering 909 claps floating around modulating obscurities. Raw percussion balanced with stabbing bass and airy pads take the focus in ‘Brot 3’ until ‘Brot 4 rounds things off with delicate pulsations bouncing delightfully off the polished kicks and wavering melodies keeping you locked in throughout.

Dark Science Electro presents: April Electro Chart 2019

For the next @DarkScienceElectro premiere we look to the southern United States for a check-in with Electro veteran @Cygnus on @CPUrecords

With a long history of releases beginning in 2006, this Texas resident presents a brand new EP called 'Deep Analysis'.  The track selected by @DVSNME to premiere for @DarkScienceElectro is entitled 'Sheffield Bleep'. The song was composed using Digitakt, Analog4 , Roland SH-01, Ableton and a Vocoder, This vocal track's central theme is an ode to the mighty @CPUrecords done over an Jazzy Electropop feeling track with a Roland CR-78 providing the rhythm. This track is my personal favorite on the record, however, I would also say that this release as a whole is absolutely worth checking out. It is on pre-order now and will be shipping out on or around May 3rd, 2019.

This track comes from the recently released 'Three Dimensions' 2xLP  which comes hot on the heels of his 2018 Ambient release on Shipwrec, which @DarkScienceElectro also did a premiere for and can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/dvsnme/premiere-plant43-banished-voices-shipwrec - Where the 2018 Ambient release focused more on soundscapes and an overall feel, this release is firing on all cylinders, bringing beats back to the forefront of the sonic journey.

The track selected to premiere for Dark Science Electro utilizes all the techniques that you have grown to love about the production style of @Plant43. Fast moving hi-hats, epic pads, driving bass lines, beautiful melodies, and syncopated arpeggios are all eagerly used on this track and throughout the record as well. This is the stand-out track on the album for me, however, this release is riddled with everything you love about this veteran producers approach to writing Electro music.

PREMIERE: Plant43 - Neon Vista (Central Processing Unit)

For this @DarkScienceElectro premiere we look to a lesser-known producer from Paris named @RaymondDBarre for his first full-length release on @Maturre Records

Raymond D. Barre (aka René Couteau) arrives on Maturre after a small EP on @Nocta-Numerica in 2016 and, this time around, delivers 8 tracks that range from Electro to Synthwave. This effort on the cassette-label is clean, concise and recommended.

The track selected by @DVSNME to premiere is the final track on the release. This track conjures up visions of cave-exploration, with it's deep reverb, slow BPM and chilling pad-layering throughout the track. You can pick this up on April 12th.
