Music has been my way of coping with social anxiety for as long as I can remember. I realized early on that I could drive a conversation by asking what someone listened to. No matter what their answer was, I could find enough common ground to break the ice and fuel a conversation. 

When I started making music, I think it was a continuation of the same thing. In high school, I would spend my weekends alone in a dark room learning what an oscillator is or what compression does - unless I was at my drummer's house writing rock music with my band. 

Music was there for me when I felt most alone, and it's also been there when I've felt most fulfilled. Through the highs and the lows I've felt an ever-present and unbreakable pull to music - something deeper than passion, closer to love... an Eternal Affinity

Something's Different

Aside from music, movies are my favourite art form. In film, a dutch angle is where the camera is tilted to make the footage seem off-kilter, often used to make the viewer feel disoriented. I wanted to create a song that matched this feeling musically

This is easily the least anticipated tune from the album so far. I've been opening sets with it this year and no one has ever asked me for it after the show.

In all seriousness though... it's pretty hot. The flute be doing it's thing and the bass goes "bum... bum bahbum bum"
