Joaquín Núñez, aka PAXU, is an artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. When creating his productions, his appreciation for the various subgenres of House plus digital and harmonic sounds typical of melodic techno led to his preference for Indie Dance, a genre that he found as the connecting link of the groove, the vowels and harmony. He completed his DJ studies at MixTape School in 2019 and took his first steps in the field of music production as a result of his apprenticeship with Melanie Massa at Escuela Sónica. On 2023, he achieved his first release with his track"Sagittarius", which was part of the V.A. “Hidden Frequencies Vol. I” from the Argentine label Slow Cycle Records, label where he has served as A&R since 2023, a new release is expected on Undergate Records and more releases in the not distant future. Throughout his career, he has shared a booth with great figures of the electronic scene such as CARMEE, Tomy Wahl, Who Else, Gueva, Favio Inker, CLØZ, D3FAI, Franco Smith, Mauro Somm, Lucy Snake, Magin Karica, Rodrigo Vhans, Cadelago, David Calo, among others.

House Thing

Fresh Take Records keep the foot down for 2020 with a third release in as many months. This cut comes from Dundalk hard hitter HYYKEN. There must be something in the water in Ireland, as HYYKEN showcases more of the signature sound exported from the island in recent years. 

The EP kicks off with FLATBUSH AVE, the title track, which builds with a heart-thumping kick and ascends through the gears via a catchy hip hop sample. By the time the gliding baseline rears its head, it's sure to send any dance floor into overdrive. Next up is PRAYZE, a peak-time, hazy journey through jarring vocal chops and spacey synths which sound like they just landed from orbit. Two must-haves for the 2020 playlists.

Irish producer and underground hit crafter jxck drops an exclusive vocal edit from his upcoming EP, utilising with lethal effect vocal snippets from the 90s classic - Dominator. 

The Rough' n' Tough EP started life as a homage to the Jackin House genre with a rapid BPM beat structure being the foundation of each sound system stomper. 

 The artists' signature punchy percussion and driving drums are the bonafide factor that make these tracks big room bombs. Speedy stabs further create a high-tempo energy which provides the listener with a heart-racing workout across the EP. 

 Old school influences throughout can be heard throughout the entire release, glueing the project together in a throwback vibe. Pumping and powerful, jxck delivers an EP which will have you hooked from the first spin.
