Why is the rose blush is fading away from my face so quick?
Why do I love crying, when all the others are cheering?

I also shed tears when I was a baby on my mother's lap,
but when I grew up, I didn't remember that.

All the World like a golden sea has brightly shining for me,
and blood started to beat for happiness in my veins.

All the dance parties and work parties I took part so keenly,
where I caught many of the young man's eyes so quickly.

All these warm hearts were beating for me
and in the fair some hot baked bread fell onto my apron.
But why is the rose blush fading away from my face?

First two tunes are traditional tunes popular amongst bagpipers in South- Wales : Mopsi Don and Ty ar Gardd. Both are modified slightly to fit my 7-string kannel.
The last tune is composed by the greatest bagpiper & deepest tradition carrier in Wales Ceri Rhys Matthews “Mae'r afon Rhymni dirion” (Gentle Rhymni River).
The words are traditional in an old peasant poetic form called triban.
