SiLLY, an Angolan artist, born & lived most his life in Portugal until migrating to the United Kingdom, is someone that grew up with plenty of musical influences around him, starting from his mother who used to sing in church, to listening to several types of records played by his family when he was growing up in Portugal and having a transition in his interests going from genre-to-genre. He eventually learned how to play the guitar and kept displaying interest in music. He realised he always wanted to play drums because of how important the beat is to music, and he always used to beatbox and then clap and later try to emulate it in the church drum kit whenever people got distracted. Growing up, his older sister introduced him to poetry and several Portuguese poets and writers. It became a passion for him too. Later growing up he chose to use all the knowledge he had learned from a young age, and later put it all in one place, his music. Now his music is a way for him to show his talents.
