okay so its the first mashcore of season 2 and i think this might be 4th worst

the end of the trail is just up ahead, neighbor!

as if season 1 hadn't already set an amazing standard for this show, season 2 raises the bar once again! parents all over the state continue praising it for its innovations in children's programming, and the ratings keep on high as the show continues in the network. however, the creators have stated that they will be taking a short break to help reassess their process and create an even better season 3; "before you know it, we'll be back welcoming kids to the neighborhood of wally darling."

I've been working on archiving the music of this show for a couple years, but recently something odd has been happening. I keep getting these phone calls, not from anyone I recognize, and yet I always seem to miss them. I know they come from my phone, but they don't appear in the call history. I've tried looking around, seeing if anyone else was getting calls, but no one's said anything. The phone keeps on ringing.

I keep finding weird shit on my computer too. I uploaded this song since its one I don't think I've seen even hinted at in the records. The closest match I could find is from a person named Jade, who I found on Soundcloud as @sluttingitoutsince (this is the original track: https://soundcloud.com/sluttingitoutsince/wheres-yo-head-at). These files keep on appearing and I can barely guess at what they're referring to or what they mean; all I know is that there's something wrong. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this kind of stuff, but I'm getting scared.

This archive project has been tiring; apart from whatever shit is happening now, its been like having to dig for oil. We don't know if we end up finding nothing for months, or if we find so much info in a week that we end up tiring ourselves out before the month ends. I don't know how much longer I can keep going. I can feel myself slowly losing it, and those phantom phone calls aren't fucking helping.

I might try to archive more of these files. I can't do it for long, but its something.

Hey, just thought I'd get out of the ROTN character for a minute to talk about the future of this project.

First of all, hello, hi, I hope y'all are doing well. Thank you so much for all of your support on ROTN for the past year I've had this up. I had no idea it would garner this much of a fanbase as small as it is, and it still feels surreal to be in a position where I can even be considered someone's inspiration.

However, as of recent, I have been struggling to continue making hyperflip, not because of burnout, but mostly because of how my relationship with it has changed. TL;DR, I'm scared that people will judge or have judged me and my music based off of the hyperflip I make, and thus my contributions will be downplayed and insulted. On top of this, the community has been getting more toxic to the point where I've left spaces like snare society and only kept within my group of friends.

This is combined with a struggle to try and move the audience from here onto Bandcamp, where all my aliases (and my main one) reside. I won't try to place blame on anyone, you usually listen to music where you first find it, but I also want to make some amount of an income from my music, and it gets difficult if the only place people listen to you is on another platform. It feels vain to complain about it, but IDK, its a complaint I have.

Because of all of this, I was originally going to make a paragraph talking about how I wanted to step away from hyperflip. But I realized maybe it isn't the music that needed to change; maybe it was my perspective. I had been so inundated with house to where I've kinda forgotten how to make that classic hyperflip sound, and I've been letting the toxicity of others get to my head even when I didn't intend for that to happen. So maybe I'll continue making music for this alias, maybe I won't. But no matter what, I'm going to make sure I come back with a fresher sound.

I have another ROTN album that's coming up soon. I'll be upfront and say its largely a love letter to Grave Robbing, one of my favorite albums of all time, and I hope you all will enjoy it once it releases in May. After this, I also have a huge album soon on Nico, my main alias, that I am way more extremely proud of. Hey, getting out of the ROTN character again; need to talk about the state of this account and some of my alts.

First off, not like most people cared, but I was behind bb86 (https://soundcloud.com/aotk86). Originally I was gonna keep it as a secret lil thing, but the reason why I'm saying this is cause of what I'm about to say.

I still love hyperflip; its a genre that I'm not really gonna truly separate from. But what is happening is that I'm not getting happy with how I'm treating my production of it. I've been getting way more scared of how people think of me because of this, to the point where I'm extremely sensitive to criticism that's fairly milquetoast, and I'm starting to run out of juice to keep up my hyperflip alts and whatnot. Despite what I said before, trying to return to a more classic hyperflip hasn't been helping me.

And on top of this, I am *still* struggling with getting attention to my Bandcamp page. I originally didn't care about how people first knew me as ROTN, but it is a bit infuriating to me that its my most popular thing and that it hasn't really translated to anywhere else; if I'm being frank, I'm kinda feeling like I'm in a Jane Remover/leroy situation. I want to show that I am capable of making things that aren't hyperflip, or at the very least aren't what everyone else is doing, and just, IDK, I don't really know how to continue doing it with hyperflip.

I'm also starting to not have as big of a musical output as I once did when starting all of this; on top of college getting in the way, I'm also trying to put into progress a plan to move out of my current state (North Carolina), so that's also been taking up my mind.

Its with this and a heavy heart that I'm gonna have to discontinue the ROTN project and its related aliases. I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna do with the other aliases, but I know I have to start fresh. I'll try to share wherever I can of the new place I'll be at, but yeah. As per usual, my Bandcamp (https://galvanisticyoungboy.bandcamp.com/) will still be here, no matter what I do.
