Just before the new year (2023) my friend Dan approached me with an idea for a song about our friend and longtime Chicago bartender know as Champagne Jesus.  He wanted to rework the folk song Plastic Jesus. I instantly loved the idea. I had never heard the song before, but all he had to do was hum a few bars and I was hooked.  After a few brainstorming sessions together this is what I came up with.  Cheers to you Champagne Jesus!
