I'm still kicking myself for not fixing the vocals while it was fresh...apps have seen many upgrades and it completely demolishes the original settings.... on the bucket list I guess!

SiloSix - Wish I Could Wake

DJ SiloSix provides top notch services at unbeatable pricing. With experience with a wide array of event types as well as a deep history in music dating back as far as 1996. SiloSix accidentally entered into the DJ market by way of emcee'ing at Ride Night events at Applebee's St. Johns in 2000-2002. During that time, a corporate career with Dresser, Inc. was budding in their product test department where responsibilities centered around creating test plans and developing automation test frameworks to ensure exceptional product quality. Simultaneously, an import from Indianapolis by the name of James Q. Davis was met on the job and a long-term music production relationship was born. We partnered with Ben Blank Audio and I was mentored until 2003 when we opened shop in Waco, Texas under the 5One Media Group title.

Located right outside the Richland Mall, the new boutique 'one-stop-shop' included a full blown audio recording and mixing suite, graphics and print media suite, and a videography recording and mixing suite. The shop received accolades from the Rapoport Foundation for our Y.A.M.O. (Youth Alternative Media Organization) urban youth mentoring program (now partnered with TSU's WALIP Preparatory Academy) and Baylor University for services provided to their music programs. Side jobs mixing live performances from R&B to Rock filled in what little time was still available.

In 2005, a new position in the product deployment team at Dresser brought new challenges with massive amounts of travel leading up to 70+ hour weeks. In 2006, the team decided to migrate back to Austin as the benefits of low overhead were losing to the commute.

After accepting DJ work sporadically over the previous several years, 2006 brought new demands for the work and it was realized the logistics with providing those services were exceedingly more simple - particularly with current corporate workloads. A relationship was built with SAKs 5th Avenue that continues through to this day, and non-retail events such as weddings, birthdays, and holiday events began to ramp us as well. Resident DJ work was accepted for several Applebee's locations from 2008 to early January 2011.

So 2012 is now upon us and DJ SiloSix is excited to apply these experiences and the skill sets acquired along the way to making sure your event is everything you hope for. Very few DJs have been full circle from musician and song-writer, to engineer and producer, to event coordinator, DJ and emcee. Where some may have top notch scratching skills or are radio personalities nothing can replace a solid understanding of the technical and ethereal aspects of audio, how to treat clients and their attendees or how to deliver clean sounding and deft segues from songs and announcements. Additionally, the professionalism developed within the demanding corporate world with executives and deadlines and (more importantly) the fundamental act of CARING sets DJ SiloSix apart from the crowd.
