Spice Mouse is a bedroom recording project that started in 2008 in an Estonian small town Rakvere. Laura's material is framed by recording with minimal possibilities like a phone or a mp3 player, some sorrow and a lot of fantasies, dreamworlds, and pastel colors. In 2011 she released two albums of her earlier material under record label Trash Can Dance: EP "Kivi mu rinnataskus on sinu" and LP "About the First Bee Stings". The same year, her song "Kevadtants" was released on Õunaviks' compilation "Toatuur 2". She is currently working on her new record, to be released also by Õunaviks.

Lost Map Records are thrilled to welcome Bristol-based Japanese experimental singer-songwriter, instrument-maker and performance artist ICHI to the label for the release of his playful masterstroke of a third album Maru. It will be released on limited-edition cut cover CD and download on March 18, 2016, and is preceded by the single ‘2 Klaxons’. Born from a dislike of angry car hoots, the song plays with the notion of cars trading their horns for animal sounds.

Hailing from Nagoya’s underground scene, ICHI moved to the UK and Bristol after meeting English singer-songwriter Rachael Dadd, now his wife, at a small DIY festival in his hometown. He takes inspiration for his art from far and wide – a melting-pot of punk, reggae and dub, Henri Salvador, tribal music and old scratchy 78s. With his trusty sampler never far away ICHI spends hours poised, ready to capture the perfect water droplet or page flick, a process which he describes as being “like catching an animal”.

Par un concours de circonstances propre à l’incroyable vie des choses, les sonorités bruitistes du premier EP de Jacques ont résonné jusqu’aux oreilles bienveillantes des membres de l’équipe de Radio France. C’est dans le cadre des journées du patrimoine que Radio France lance alors à Jacques le défi de composer un morceau qui inclus des sons enregistrés à l’intérieur de la Maison de la Radio à Paris. Panneaux de signalisation, poteaux, extincteurs, ascenseurs, tiroirs, câbles métalliques… tout le bâtiment est cogné pour en extraire une banque de sons inédite à partir de laquelle il va composer sans le savoir ce qui deviens aujourd’hui son nouveau single. Dans un morceau fait à partir de la radio et pour la radio, Jacques chante pour la première fois le fait qu’il est pour la première fois dans la radio. Le titre ? Dans la Radio. Une mise en abîme que l’on soupçonne d’être une expérience de plus dans le cadre de son projet pseudo-scientifique né au Palais de Tokyo il y a quelque mois : Le CNRV (Centre National de Recherche du Vortex).

You are in a cave in an Indonesian ashram. Surrounded by statues of Ganesh, the fragrant smells of incense and flowers put your senses at ease as you sublimate. The sound of trickling fountains reverberates throughout your mind, breaking your defenses down into a state of pure, blissful relaxation. This is the ideal environment to introduce the freshly minted "Leaving Records for the New Age" series. Fittingly, these sounds come straight from label founder and forward-thinking steward of modern New Age music, Matthewdavid. He is your pilot for the duration of his Ashram, transporting you from one serene scene to the next on his Mindflight Express. In this collection of three long-form compositions, heavy water sounds and flute mix with field recordings from Bali, sweeping synthesizers, and the angelic vocals of Nora Keyes (“Dancing Ganesh”). Though Ashram documents a special time and place in the producer's life, it may only whet listeners' appetites for its double-LP followup, the contemporary New Age masterwork Trust the Guide and Glide.
