Fall Approaches performed by the Irish Chamber Orchestra at Kilkenny Arts Festival, August 2023, live recording from St. Canice's Cathedral by Ben Rawlins. 'Fall Approaches (Haustið Nálgast) (2012) is a string arrangement of an early work originally composed for choir and electronics. It is inspired by Icelandic poetry, in particular the practice of ‘rimur’ chanting. The text set in the choral form is from Haustið Nálgast, an example of rimur, written by Stefán frá Hvítadal (1887-1933). Rimur is a traditional form of chanted Icelandic epic song. The early rimur are based on pre-existing narratives, mostly heroic tales and mythical sagas.'

"With these tracks we were simply doing what we love doing - no concept, no overriding idea, no overthinking, just approaching each track based on what we felt and letting the sounds guide us. The music tells us where to go. Like most of our releases it's heavily influenced by club and dance styles with our love of metal shining through too. Techno is present but we've also explored faster styles like jungle and even gabber. We had fun on this one. Big ups to Yuku for putting this out."

Dublin-based singers Fionnuala Conway, Lenka Dobai and Judith Ring are Silver Kites, a vocal trio that performs new and experimental music. Their focus is to perform a variety of works, ranging from diverse and experimental vocal and art-based projects that aim to take choral music to new levels. Musicians, artists and composers in their own right, the members have considerable experience and background in performance, music technology and multimedia exhibition, giving this group an eclectic mix of talents and skills with which to create and perform exciting and varied work. 

Former members include Eileen Carpio, Jessica Hartup and Sharon Phelan.
