"I got there early (to Club Spaceland, Silverlake, California) and caught Silver Phial, a folk group with a girl drummer (yay!)! The harmonies were fabulous and I was really digging the funky undertones of some songs and the rock and roll feel of the others. The lead singer slash drummer Cheryl has an amazing voice and even though it was early and people definitely weren’t drunk yet, they somehow got the crowd moving."
