During recent DJ sets I've been playing a number of quality re-rubs of classic tracks by expert editors such as Smoove, The Reflex, Suonho, Mr Bird, Monetrik and Dimitri (from Paris or should that be Stoke-on-Trent?) plus a few of my own, so I thought I'd try and compile some of the best I've found onto a mix CD. 

So here's 21 edits over 80 minutes of some of the finest records ever made (in my humble opinion) re-worked for the dance floor from the likes of Aretha Franklin,  Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, The Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Ben E KIng, Amy Winehouse, Glen Miller, Marcia Griffiths, The Marvelettes, Joe Cuba and there's even a Kylie cover too plus all the usual Daytoner bases of Rocksteady, Hip-Hop, Funk, Latin, Soul, Swing have all been covered on the journey from 90-130bpm. 

I was asked to make this mix for a friend who was in dire need of some ear fodder on his regular journey from the far west of Cornwall to his 'up country' work and my brother-in-law even intends to use it as free gift for his Cornish V-Dub Camper Van hire business!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these re-works (and please look up the producers and support their sterling efforts) and I'll hopefully be bringing some more of these sets out live to a venue near you soon.

This mix has been encoded at an average quality of 256kbps in an attempt to minimise 'rips' of the hard work of producer friends.
