Sometimes war is unavoidable. This is a song I wrote from the perspective of the Equestrian Guard in the line of duty. It would be terrifying knowing that you may die in battle, but at least you could die knowing that you've done your part to protect those you care about.

Had this piano melody lying around. Decided to play with it and boom this comes out. Meh, I'm not gonna argue. The lyrics are written with Twilight Sparkle in mind. Enjoy.

More Than One Kind Of Magic

It had been a long time since ponies had known peace. Declarations of war made in blindness by the ignorance of a few. The cold set in and as diplomacy broke down civilization was nearly lost forever. But in those final critical moments a miracle occurred. Against all odds, the power of an unlikely friendship summoned a magic that would fan the flame into driving out the windigos, unifying the races and restoring peace to the land.

Let It Go

I received a message back in the beginning of 2015 asking if I'd be interested in working together on a song. Almost exactly a year later, I've made a new friend and together we've produced a track. DecodingTheCodes wrote the lyrics, arrangement, vocal melodies and performed the role of artistic director. I played the instruments and recorded it all. He has asked me to include the following message.

I know I haven't been as great of a person as I am and should have been around the Internet - I've been spewing a lot of mean things about the fandom, to those that recognize me. I just wanted to say sorry, as, at times, more often than I'd like, I've let my judgement get the better of me. I still meant most of what I've said, but how I said them, how I pushed away all considerations of empathy and respect, how I let my anger blind me into saying what I said the way I said them, was wrong. And I apologize for that.

I know sorry's not gonna cut it, but I'd just like to say that, even if this fandom has had some flaws, I still thank it for everything it has done for me. I've met a lot of good people - people that have went out of their way to shape who I am, and to help me become who I am today, and who I can become. Those people are a big part of my life, and, even though I know they deserve more, I'd like to dedicate this song to them.

To those that are taking the time to read this, thank you.

More rock! Maud approved. SDreamExplorerS sent me a message after the last P@D about doing a collab. His music is awesome so I was very interested to see where it would go. He sent over a really cool idea which had a couple of distinct parts. My favourite is probably the delayed intro/outro lead guitar. I added verses and shaped it into an alt rock arrangement. We both wrote and played different guitar/other parts and lyrics. It was really great working with him and we both hope you like the resulting track! This along with many other new tracks are available on the new Ponies at Dawn Anthology album, which comes as a digital and physical release with a best-of compilation too.
