Gingaí is the tribal downtempo music project of Portuguese artist Henrique Saias, a rising talent in the global folktronica scene.  He is passionate about musical cultural heritage and traditions such as the Australian aborigines’ didgeridoo and the Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira.  His sound brings the sonic and vibrational essence of these and other cultures from around the world.

The Gingaí sound web is filled with tribal elements, warm synths and elaborate percussions.  In the stories he weaves, he’s as fluent in the meditative and transcendental as he is in the expansive ritual of dance.  His music floods the dancefloor with earthy basslines, rattles, driving groove and positive energy. 

"My music is deeply rooted in our shared ancestry, sourced from the primal heritage alive in our collective unconscious. For close to a decade, Swedish duo Rickard Berglöf and Robert Elster (better known to the world as Vibrasphere) have been pumping out tracks from their Cloud 99 Studios. With over a 100 released productions to their name and gigs in all parts of the world, they are without a doubt one of the most sought-after and respected trance acts in the world today. Early releases “Echo” (2001) on Spiral Trax &amp; “Lime Structures” (2003) on Digital Structures established them as truly leading figures of the progressive trance scene, earning them a place in the history of this progressive sound. Their 3rd Album, “Archipelago” (also on Digital Structures) was regarded as one of the seminal releases of 2006 and after their short break in 2005, firmly signally Vibrasphere were back on the scene. In late 2006, the single “Floating Free” was picked up by Superstar DJs Markus Shulz &amp; Armin Van Buuren for their radio shows, resulting in a string of licenses including Gatecrasher Live on Ministry of Sound and Armada Trance Vol. 1. Strong support from DJs Paul Van Dyk, Hernan Cattaneo, Paul Oakenfold, Christopher Lawrence, Remy, Menno de Jong, Kenneth Thomas and John 00 Fleming has helped with making a successful transition to a wider audience and a whole new generation of Vibrasphere fans. Riding on the back of their successful 2006 release Archipelago (and its subsequent remix cd), Vibrasphere released their 4th full length album, “Exploring the Tributaries” this time on Tribal Vision Records in June 2007. In the spring of 2008 Vibrasphere released a track called Autumn lights on John “00” Fleming..s label Joof. For the end of 2008 Rickard and Robert are planning an special album release due to the fact that the Vibrasphere project turn 10 years.

The Shipibo (indigenous people from the peruvian amazon) see and hear geometric patterns in nature and reproduce the designs on their clothing and paint them on their houses and boats. The Shipibo believe the patterns are healing on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels.

Every design carries its own specific meaning. For example,
to bring healing, wisdom, protection or to attract abundance.
These ‘artful prayers’ can be sung by the Shipibo because each design also functions as a musical score, called an ‘Icaro’.

The design element and the ‘Icaro’ operate
cohesively to carry the power of the healing
or blessing.
