WHEREVER YOU ARE

Devotion is my brand new single from her new upcoming, independent album to be released this year. This is the first time that I'm recording and releasing a song in my native language Hebrew since I left Israel many years ago. Devotion is a heartfelt song based on a Jewish prayer that I took from the bible and I wrote original lyrics in English around that prayer. Devotion reflects my connection and dedication to the creator and my life journey and path. It expresses my heartbreak and pain regarding the war and unrest in my homeland.

SIMA's brand new single, “Runaways" is from her new upcoming album by the same name. The song is about individuality, empowerment, transformation, and freedom. It’s about staying true to who you are and having faith in what you believe in. It's about letting go of things that don't serve you anymore. 

The song has a rebel vibe to it and introduces ritual elements such as fire, that burns down the past and present in order to discover something better and new - truth and transformation. The chains in the video represent being a prisoner and having a need to break free of the old ways of living, habits, fears, society's pressure, and anything that holds you back from achieving your full potential. Runaways if for all those people like me who left something in their past that didn't allow them to grow and expand. People who question things, want more out of life and can think for themselves. People who are unafraid to be considered outsiders.
“Runaways” was written before the COVID 19 stay at home orders but it's message resonates with the chaos and uncertainty that we are all experiencing right now, the despair and pain that people are feeling.  It also affirms that life as we know it will never be the same - which can be viewed as a positive thing as it pushes us outside of our comfort zone. There is a massive need for people and society to go through a deep evolutionary and revolutionary growth and I believe “Runaways" captures the spirit of those who've had enough and feel a change must come.  Together, we can create it.

After releasing my latest single “Runaways”, I decided to create an acoustic, stripped-down version of the song. I wanted people to truly focus on the inspiring and empowering lyrics and allow my powerful voice and the message of the song to penetrate people's hearts. I wanted to strip away the high production value of the song and leave people with what’s truly matter, which is the lyrics, the message, and song delivery. I believe that a good song is a song that you can play acoustic or even sing it acapella and it still sounds amazing and powerful in its natural, raw, vulnerable way. 
 
This version of the song will give people new insight about the song and a new perspective and hopefully they will get inspired, empowered, elevated, and feel connected to something bigger, something that they can reflect, relate to, and drawn strength from.

Israeli/American hard rock solo artist SIMA (Sima Galanti) has released her new single, an edgy version of the hit “Love Is A Battlefield.” SIMA adds her own touch to the 1983 Pat Benatar classic, bringing attitude with gritty vocals, heavy guitar, and propulsive electronics.                                                                       “Love Is A Battlefield” is the second single off SIMA’s forthcoming album Runaways, her second full-length independent album to be released later this year. Pulsating title track “Runaways” is a rebellious song about staying true to who you are and having faith in what you believe in, and the empowering need to break free from all that holds you back from achieving your full potential.
