“The Space Before” came out of meditating on the timeless question of who we truly are, drawing from the teachings of Eastern and Western philosophies and spiritual paths. If we are not our thoughts, then perhaps we are quite simply the vast formless sea of consciousness from which thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and actions can emerge.
The song and its message encourages us to detach and disidentify ourselves from our thoughts, emotions, and the endless mental chatter, to bring us to a sense of wholeness, interconnectedness, and peace.

The Space Before

"What We Are" reflects on our origins and purpose as a human race, rooted in indigenous wisdom, and conveying a message from Mother Nature: “We are the birds, we are the trees, we are Creation that brings us to our knees. We are the oceans, we are the streams, we are the fallen ones, we are the very air we breathe.”

What We Are

"Blessed" is a reflection on the abundance of blessings both within us and in the world around us. Even during our darkest moments, when we focus on something greater than ourselves, we can experience and acknowledge the simplest of blessings. This is the essence of Grace.
