This week on Topshelf we are blessed to have with us Italian Italo DJ/Producer O.P.S.
O.P.S. has had a fine start to 2024 recording mixes for Italotechno, Kurt Kjergaard's Indie Dance's series as well as playing on Radio and live with Modular Projects, Nothing is Real label.
With his superb debut EP "04:00 AM" releasing in 2023, which listens like the soundtrack to dreamy 80's classic, O.P.S. wonderfully demonstrated his ability to create a cinematic picture through his music, building tension, using instruments core to a theme and taking the listener on a permy journey through sound.
The 4 track EP features the ever rising scene setter 'Maria',  the atmospherically haunting disco number 'Malena', 'Martina', a divine, synth rich   anthem which is followed the emotional finale 'Mirta'.   
We highly recommend getting your ears around some of this mans music but for now enjoy Topshelf 0107 w/ O.P.S.

Making his way through the foggy mist that hides the local surroundings, from the very beginning he felt someone's presence. Something moved through these forgotten places, its bright colors are clearly visible even through the thick haze of fog that was growing between them. Horror gripped him, his constrained limbs refused to move, he heard a soft whisper calling him to follow what was hidden in the fog.
Decha’s Hielo Boca LP was released in early 2019 and quickly was embraced by many as an exceptional experimental yet very personal and soulful piece of art. Artist Viktoria Wehrmeister (half of renowned duo Toresch along- side fellow Düsseldorfian Tolouse Low Trax) is already working constantly on her sophomore album for Malka Tuti that will come some time in the near future.
Tapan, Eva Geist, Khidja & Philipp Otterbach took upon themselves to reconstruct Viktoria’s ideas in very surprising, intriguing and “out of the box” ways.
