After his numerous releases on labels such as Partisan, Libertine, and many others, he recently revealed his upcoming EP on Animals on Psychedelics, a release we absolutely recommend!

This is probably not your usual summer mix but here is a recording that fits this announcement… Filed with tracks we cherish very much, this journey into trance aesthetics showcase the wide palet of sounds that compose Ismael’s music culture. A perfect fit to the Saga!

Next up comes a very special set recorded live at Bassiani/Horoom’s ten year anniversary in early October. Having made common cause with the club in its infancy, longtime resident Hamatsuki (Mamuka Tskhadaia) and Morevi Records key figure Skyra (Sandro Papaskiri) are a perfect vector for the club’s vision. These two homegrown talents are legends in their own right, and well versed in their musical skill, teaming up on occasion and getting people moving to the sound of their surging beats. The community built around them and their Georgian confrères has grown exponentially since casual beginnings on the ground in Tbilisi, and the timeless mark they’ve left on the soul of the city is testament to its creative spirit. From chilled-out releases to laid back sets, the duo have an innate feeling for the other that complements and sparks surprising new ideas, downtempo house that sounds as fresh today as it did back then. For Bassiani Podcast 235, the pair flex their well-trained muscle and deliver an hour of groovy and undulating sounds, unbent rhythms for the dancing class. Tbilisi energy to the letter. And here’s to another ten.
