We had an amazing beach day on labour day weekend to close out an epic season of Beach FamJams!!  This recording was live off the mixer so you get to hear all our announcements throughout :)  This event was an epic ending to an amazing summer season of dancing on beaches.  Here's to many more!!  Enjoy the daytime housey party vibes <3

Beach Famjam - LadyK and em.ash (Leolife)

This is a set I put together earlier this year which was meant to be played this summer at 230pm on the beach stage at The Pachena Bay Festival on Saturday. Due to what seemed to be an unfortunate surge from the generator, my USB hub got fried, and therefore I was unable to connect my laptop to my mixer. I was heartbroken. Thankfully I had some of the most important people in my life around me to keep me from a complete breakdown. 

After many attempts to get things to work, the decision was made to play on CDJs, through an external HD, which didn’t have the music for this set on it, so I had to quickly improvise. The set went well, people loved it, but I was left extremely frustrated and discouraged. 

In the 30 years I’ve been playing music, I’ve honestly never put so much time, effort and emotion into building a set as I have this one. After the unfortunate events, I vowed I’d never play this anywhere other than the setting is was meant for, but my amazing Estelle 💖 talked me into making this my first studio recording in almost 8 years, and I’m happy she did.

After residing in Mallorca, Spain for 4 years a young Simba got his first tastes of what music can really do, the happiness, the love and the music in those years would shape the rest of his blissful existence. From there he moved to North America and found himself a whole new world of love in the bass music scene that just tickled his heart strings oh so right!
After cutting his teeth at the legendary Sunday Funday pool parties in Nicaragua Simba found his sound. Expect sexy rhythmic percussions, funky breakdowns and thick bass. Catch him rocking the boat with the 8MYC Crew or just exploding with happiness on a dancefloor near you <3
Based out of the Northen Rivers, Simba is a regular at venues in Byron as well as the Kingscliff Beach Hotel. Supporting the likes of Opiuo, Cheshire and Bag Raiders
