I don't know about you but quite often I catch myself thinking about the future. The fast pace technology growth kinda makes it inevitable I guess. We are slowly and steadily merging with the machines, don't you think?

People walking around with supercomputers in their pockets, AI is everywhere, space exploration and living on Mars has become the talk of the century... With social media, digital personas came to be, with the birth bitcoin, crypto fast becomes the new currency, more and more talk about metaverses...

I don't know...it's like we are already we are living more in the digital world, rather than in the real one. It's like we are already living in the future. But is this the way? Seems like this is the way...

dreams ep. 12: lucid

Last night I had a dream. Boy oh boy what a dream that was... but before I begin, a bit of theory. 

Lucid dreaming is when you’re conscious during a dream. Not sure if you've ever had one of those but I can say that for me, it is one of the strangest experiences ever. 

So, I was dreaming that I am in a very strange place, I cannot begin to describe it. One moment I am in a jungle, the other moment i am in a small farm with a barren field. Time moves slower than ever and there are musical instruments everywhere. Flying pianos, guitars, accordions, I guess you could say music was in the air.

"Wait a minute..." I thought, "something seems off here".

Interesting fact N1: 
One bullet proof method to find out whether you are in a dream is to try and read something. That's probably the oldest trick in the book. The moment I tried to check my watch I saw nothing but gibberish.

"Jackpot! I am dreaming!"

Interesting fact N2:
Supposedly, lucid dreaming if extremely useful if you are trying to change something in yourself, stop a bad habit, improve a trait you have or something like that. 

I guess it won't surprise you when I mention that this is exactly what I tried to do. The one thing I learned was that I suck at lucid dreaming. The moment I manage to get on the wheel of my dream, I lost it. It was quite fun though, I'll definitely try to do it again.

The drum is the oldest, and perhaps most diverse instrument in history. From the beginning of time drums have manifested shamanistic characteristics and were used in ritual ceremonies. I guess this this is why it speaks to me that much. Every time I hear a good drum beat I can't help my self. I literally feel it in my bones. And lately, I have been hearing them more and more in my head. The summer is knocking, or rather drumming, on the door, I guess.
